企業概要

National HealthCare Corporation is a prominent entity within the Healthcare sector, specifically operating within the Medical Care Facilities industry by providing comprehensive services to skilled nursing facilities, assisted and independent living facilities, homecare, hospice agencies, and health hospitals. The organization conducts its operations through two distinct segments, Inpatient and Homecare and Hospice Services, addressing critical needs in both institutional and home-based care environments. This enterprise commands a significant market position with a market capitalization of 2.76B 米ドル and generates an annual revenue of 15.2 億米ドル based on trailing twelve-month data. Furthermore, the company employs a substantial workforce of 15,278 名,which underscores its extensive operational footprint and the scale required to manage such a diverse portfolio of care delivery services across the healthcare landscape. These valuation and revenue figures indicate that the company is a large-cap player with established revenue streams, suggesting a degree of market stability typical of major providers in the medical care sector.

財務健全性

The company reported a revenue of 15.2 億米ドル and a net income of 1.2002 億米ドル over the trailing twelve months, while EBITDA stood at 1.7327 億米ドル. The gap between the total revenue and the net income reveals a cost structure where operating expenses, including taxes and interest, consume approximately 4.6 億米ドル of the top line, resulting in a profit margin of 7.9%. Free cash flow for the period was 1.0838 億米ドル,which indicates the company possesses positive cash generation capabilities to fund operations and capital expenditures without relying solely on external financing. Regarding liquidity and leverage, the firm holds 2.5580 億米ドル in cash against a debt load of 8.707 億米ドル,resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 8.10. Despite the elevated debt-to-equity figure, the balance sheet appears conservative due to the substantial cash reserve that significantly exceeds total debt obligations. The current ratio of 1.82 further supports this assessment by indicating strong short-term liquidity, as current assets are more than double current liabilities. Additionally, the Return on Equity of 11.9% and Return on Assets of 5.3% demonstrate that management is effectively utilizing shareholder capital and total assets to generate returns, though the ROA is lower than the ROE due to the leverage effect present in the capital structure.

バリュエーション評価

Valuation metrics for National HealthCare Corporation show a trailing P/E ratio of 23.05 and a forward P/E ratio of 411.19. The substantial discrepancy between these two figures implies that the market is pricing in a significant anticipated increase in earnings, or conversely, that current earnings do not reflect the company's near-term profitability potential as projected by analysts. The price-to-book ratio stands at 2.57, suggesting that the market values the company at a premium of roughly 157% over its net asset value. Alternative valuation multiples provide further context; the price-to-sales ratio of 1.82 and an EV/EBITDA of 14.92 indicate that the company is trading at a premium relative to its sales and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization. In terms of price volatility and trading range, the stock has a 52-week high of 177.39 米ドル and a low of 89.14 米ドル. The current trading price sits approximately 31.2% below the 52-week high, reflecting a potential pullback from recent peaks or a consolidation phase. The stock exhibits a beta of 0.59, which signifies that its price volatility is less than half that of the broader market, indicating a defensive characteristic common in healthcare facilities stocks.

Growth & Income

Revenue growth for the year-over-year period was 4.6%, while earnings growth surged to 306.3% over the same timeframe. The earnings growth rate is markedly faster than the revenue growth rate, which implies that the company has achieved significant operational leverage or benefited from one-time gains that amplified profitability disproportionately to sales expansion. The company offers a dividend yield of 1.4% with a payout ratio of 33.0%, indicating that the portion of earnings distributed to shareholders is well below the total earnings generated, suggesting a sustainable dividend policy that is unlikely to be cut given the current earnings trajectory. This balance between returning capital to shareholders and retaining earnings supports long-term value creation without compromising financial flexibility. Overall, the growth and income profile presents a scenario of moderate revenue expansion coupled with exceptional earnings acceleration and a sustainable, yield-enhancing dividend policy.
