企業概要
Sirius XM Holdings Inc. operates as a prominent audio entertainment provider within North America, delivering a diverse array of content including music, sports, comedy, talk, news, podcasts, and infotainment services through its Sirius XM and Pandora segments. The company is categorized within the Communication Services sector and the Entertainment industry, positioning it as a key player in the media and digital audio landscape where consumer attention is monetized through subscription models and advertising. In terms of scale, the enterprise holds a market capitalization of $7.90B and reported annual revenue of $8.56B over the trailing twelve months, supported by a workforce of 5,119 employees. These valuation and revenue figures indicate that the company maintains a significant, albeit mid-cap, presence in the competitive entertainment market, reflecting its established distribution network and established brand recognition among subscribers seeking premium audio experiences.
財務健全性
The company reported revenue of $8.56B and net income of $805.00M for the trailing twelve months, with an EBITDA of $2.45B, highlighting a substantial gap between top-line revenue and bottom-line profit that reveals a cost structure where operating expenses and taxes consume approximately 90.6% of revenue before reaching net income. Despite the large debt obligation of $9.98B, the firm maintains free cash flow of $926.00M, which provides essential financial flexibility for operational continuity and potential capital allocation, although the cash on hand remains limited at $94.00M. Profitability is assessed through three key margins: a gross margin of 47.0% indicates efficient content production and distribution costs, an operating margin of 22.3% reflects effective management of overhead relative to revenue, and a profit margin of 9.4% demonstrates the final efficiency of converting sales into net earnings. The balance sheet exhibits a highly leveraged profile with a debt-to-equity ratio of 86.33, where total debt significantly outweighs the available cash reserves. Liquidity is constrained by a current ratio of 0.30, suggesting that short-term assets are insufficient to cover immediate liabilities without relying on debt refinancing or asset sales. Management effectiveness is further illuminated by a return on equity of 7.1% and a return on assets of 4.3%, metrics that suggest the company generates moderate returns on its capital base relative to the leverage employed.
バリュエーション評価
Valuation multiples show a trailing P/E ratio of 10.52 and a forward P/E of 6.92, implying that the market expects a significant expansion in earnings over the coming year as the forward multiple is substantially lower than the historical average. The price-to-book ratio stands at 0.68, indicating that the stock trades at a discount to its book value, which often suggests market skepticism regarding the quality of assets or expectations of future earnings compression. Alternative valuation metrics provide additional context, with a price-to-sales ratio of 0.92 and an EV/EBITDA of 7.25, suggesting the company is valued conservatively relative to its sales and earnings power before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization. The stock price fluctuates between a 52-week high of $24.92 and a 52-week low of $18.93, and based on the forward P/E implication of earnings growth, the market is pricing in a trajectory that could push the valuation closer to the upper end of this historical range if earnings expand as anticipated. The beta of 0.86 indicates that the stock exhibits lower volatility than the broader market, moving with less intensity than the S&P 500, which offers a degree of stability for portfolios seeking exposure to the entertainment sector without high systemic risk.
Growth & Income
Revenue growth is modest at 0.2% year-over-year, while earnings growth contracted significantly by -70.1% year-over-year, indicating that earnings are shrinking at a much faster rate than revenue, likely due to one-time charges, changes in segment mix, or increased cost pressures that have not been fully offset by price increases or volume growth. As a dividend payer, the company offers a yield of 4.6% with a payout ratio of 48.4%, which appears sustainable from a percentage-of-earnings standpoint given the current profit margins, though the absolute decline in net income reduces the total dollar amount available for distribution. The contraction in earnings relative to flat revenue suggests that the dividend yield may be influenced by temporary earnings dips rather than a structural inability to pay, but the shrinking earnings base necessitates careful monitoring to ensure the payout does not become unsustainable over time. Overall, the company presents a profile characterized by stagnant top-line growth and significant earnings contraction, yet it retains a high dividend yield supported by a substantial free cash flow generation capability despite the leveraged balance sheet.
