分析

企業概要

Oshkosh Corporation is a global manufacturer dedicated to the design and production of purpose-built vehicles and specialized equipment tailored for various industrial applications. The enterprise operates within the Industrials sector, specifically focusing on the Farm & Heavy Construction Machinery industry, a classification that reflects its exposure to capital-intensive cycles driven by infrastructure development and agricultural needs. The company's current market capitalization stands at $9.81B, with an annualized revenue base of $10.42B and an operational workforce comprising 18,400 employees. These aggregate figures position Oshkosh as a mid-to-large-cap industrial entity with a significant footprint in the global supply chain for heavy machinery, suggesting substantial scale and established market presence without reaching the valuation multiples of the largest industrial conglomerates.

財務健全性

The company reported a trailing twelve-month revenue of $10.42B, generating net income of $647.00M and an EBITDA of $1.18B during the reporting period. The structural difference between the total revenue figure and the net income result highlights a cost structure where operating expenses, including cost of goods sold, administrative costs, and taxes, absorb approximately 93.8% of total sales before arriving at the bottom line. Free cash flow for the period was recorded at $243.72M, indicating a positive ability to generate cash from operations after capital expenditures, which supports financial flexibility for debt servicing or strategic investments. The gross margin sits at 17.5%, reflecting the high cost of raw materials and manufacturing associated with heavy machinery, while the operating margin of 7.9% and profit margin of 6.2% demonstrate the company's efficiency in converting sales into operational earnings and net profit respectively. On the balance sheet, the firm holds $479.80M in cash against total debt obligations of $1.38B, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 30.42, which suggests a leveraged capital structure typical of cyclical industrial firms rather than a conservative cash-rich posture. The current ratio is 1.94, signifying that the company possesses nearly double the liquid assets required to cover its short-term liabilities, thereby ensuring robust short-term liquidity and the ability to meet obligations as they come due. Return on equity stands at 14.9% and return on assets is 6.1%, metrics that collectively reveal management's effectiveness in utilizing shareholders' capital and the company's asset base to generate returns above the cost of capital.

バリュエーション評価

The trailing twelve-month P/E ratio is 15.63, while the forward P/E is projected at 10.95, a disparity that implies the market expects earnings to recover or grow significantly in the coming fiscal year relative to current historical performance. The price-to-book ratio is 2.16, indicating that the market values the company's equity at more than double its book value, suggesting a premium assigned to its intangible assets, brand strength, or growth prospects despite the cyclical nature of its industry. Alternative valuation metrics such as the price-to-sales ratio of 0.94 and an EV/EBITDA of 9.09 provide context on how the stock is valued relative to its top-line revenue and enterprise earnings power, respectively, often serving as key comparables for industrial peers. The 52-week trading range spans from a low of $77.90 to a high of $180.49, placing the current share price within a volatile band that reflects the asset's sensitivity to broader economic conditions. With a beta of 1.39, the stock exhibits price volatility that is 39% higher than the broader market benchmark, signaling that price movements will likely be amplified during periods of market stress or rally.

Growth & Income

Revenue growth for the year-over-year period is recorded at 3.5%, whereas earnings growth declined by 10.1%, indicating that earnings are currently growing slower than revenue, which points to margin compression or one-time costs impacting profitability. The company offers a dividend yield of 1.5% with a payout ratio of 20.4%, a conservative level that suggests the dividend is highly sustainable given that only a fraction of earnings are distributed to shareholders. This low payout ratio leaves ample room for the company to retain earnings for reinvestment in research, development, or capacity expansion rather than distributing the majority of profits. Overall, the growth and income profile presents a mix of steady top-line expansion in the double-digits to low single-digits range coupled with a disciplined approach to capital allocation that balances shareholder returns with operational reinvestment needs.
