회사 개요

Oshkosh Corporation is a global manufacturer focused on the design and production of specialized vehicles and equipment tailored for specific industrial applications. The enterprise operates within the Industrials sector, specifically within the Farm & Heavy Construction Machinery industry, which positions it as a key supplier for heavy-duty machinery used in construction, agriculture, and municipal sectors. The company demonstrates significant scale with a total market capitalization of $9.81B and annual revenue reaching $10.42B over the trailing twelve-month period. This substantial market valuation and revenue base, supported by a workforce of 18,400 employees, indicate that Oshkosh Corporation holds a dominant position as a major player in the heavy equipment market, serving a wide range of commercial and government clients worldwide.

재무 건전성

The company reported a total revenue of $10.42B, with a net income of $647.00M and an EBITDA of $1.18B, highlighting a substantial gap between top-line revenue and bottom-line profit that reflects a cost structure involving significant operating expenses. The reported free cash flow stands at $243.72M, which provides the company with essential financial flexibility to fund capital expenditures, manage liquidity needs, or pursue strategic acquisitions without immediate reliance on external financing. Margin analysis reveals a gross margin of 17.5%, an operating margin of 7.9%, and a profit margin of 6.2%, indicating that the company retains a moderate portion of sales revenue after accounting for the costs of goods sold and operational overhead. In terms of leverage, total cash holdings of $479.80M are significantly lower than the total debt of $1.38B, yet the debt-to-equity ratio of 30.42 suggests a conservative balance sheet structure rather than excessive leverage. The current ratio of 1.94 indicates robust short-term liquidity, demonstrating that the company possesses nearly double the current assets required to cover its current liabilities. Return on Equity is calculated at 14.9% while Return on Assets sits at 6.1%, metrics that collectively reveal management's effectiveness in generating returns from shareholders' equity and utilizing the company's total asset base efficiently.

밸류에이션 평가

Valuation metrics show a trailing P/E ratio of 15.63 compared to a forward P/E of 10.95, implying that the market expects earnings growth in the future that would justify a lower multiple relative to current earnings. The price-to-book ratio is recorded at 2.16, suggesting that the stock trades at a premium of roughly 116% over its book value, which reflects market confidence in the company's intangible assets and future earnings potential. Alternative valuation measures such as a price-to-sales ratio of 0.94 and an EV/EBITDA of 9.09 provide context that the company is valued at slightly less than one dollar of market cap for every dollar of sales, while the EV/EBITDA suggests a reasonable valuation relative to operating earnings. The stock has a 52-week high of $180.49 and a 52-week low of $77.90, meaning the current trading price sits at 46.14% below the 52-week high when calculated based on the midpoint or current implied levels relative to the high. The beta value of 1.39 indicates that the stock exhibits higher price volatility than the broader market, moving approximately 39% more aggressively than the S&P 500 during periods of market fluctuation.

Growth & Income

Recent performance data indicates a revenue growth rate of 3.5% year-over-year alongside an earnings growth rate of -10.1%, revealing that earnings are currently shrinking significantly faster than revenue, which points to rising cost pressures or margin compression rather than volume expansion. As a dividend payer with a yield of 1.5% and a payout ratio of 20.4%, the company maintains a highly sustainable dividend policy where only a small fraction of earnings is distributed to shareholders, leaving ample room for retention. The low payout ratio confirms that the company prioritizes reinvesting earnings into its core business operations and growth initiatives rather than maximizing immediate shareholder distributions. Overall, the growth and income profile is characterized by stable revenue expansion and a conservative approach to capital allocation that balances modest dividend returns with necessary internal funding for operational needs.
