分析

公司概述

Oshkosh Corporation operates as a global manufacturer dedicated to the design and production of purpose-built vehicles and specialized equipment. The company functions within the Industrials sector, specifically targeting the Farm & Heavy Construction Machinery industry, which positions it as a key supplier of heavy-duty machinery for diverse sectors including agriculture, construction, and maintenance. Its operational scale is substantial, characterized by a market capitalization of $9.81B and an annual revenue of $10.42B, supported by a workforce of 18,400 employees. These financial metrics indicate that Oshkosh Corporation maintains a significant footprint in the global industrial equipment market, reflecting its established position and capacity to serve a wide range of clients through its Access, Vocational, and Transport segments.

财务健康

The company reported a trailing twelve-month revenue of $10.42B and a net income of $647.00M, with EBITDA reaching $1.18B. The substantial gap between the $10.42B revenue and the $647.00M net income highlights a significant cost structure, where operational expenses and taxes consume approximately 93.8% of gross revenue before reaching the bottom line. Free cash flow stands at $243.72M, which provides the company with essential financial flexibility to manage capital expenditures, service debt obligations, or return capital to shareholders without requiring external financing. Profitability analysis reveals a gross margin of 17.5%, an operating margin of 7.9%, and a profit margin of 6.2%, indicating that for every dollar of sales, the company retains $0.175 in gross profit, $0.079 in operating profit, and $0.062 in net profit. In terms of leverage, the company holds $479.80M in cash against $1.38B in debt, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 30.42, suggesting a balance sheet that utilizes leverage but maintains a conservative profile relative to its asset base. Short-term liquidity is robust, evidenced by a current ratio of 1.94, which implies the company possesses sufficient current assets to cover its current liabilities nearly twice over. Return metrics show a return on equity of 14.9% and a return on assets of 6.1%, revealing that management is effectively deploying shareholder equity to generate returns, though asset utilization efficiency is moderated by the company's significant debt load.

估值评估

Valuation metrics for Oshkosh Corporation show a trailing P/E ratio of 15.63 and a forward P/E of 10.95. The notable difference between the trailing and forward P/E ratios implies that the market expects earnings growth in the future, as investors are willing to pay a lower multiple for expected earnings compared to historical performance. The price-to-book ratio is 2.16, indicating that the market values the company at more than double its book value, suggesting a premium over the net asset value of its equity. Alternative valuation metrics include a price-to-sales ratio of 0.94 and an EV/EBITDA of 9.09, which suggest the company is trading at a reasonable multiple of its sales and earnings power relative to enterprise value. Price action over the last year has seen the stock trade between a 52-week high of $180.49 and a 52-week low of $77.90, illustrating a wide trading range typical of cyclical industrial stocks. The stock exhibits a beta of 1.39, which indicates that its price volatility is significantly higher than the broader market, moving 39% more aggressively than the market index in response to general market fluctuations.

Growth & Income

Recent financial performance indicates a revenue growth rate of 3.5% year-over-year, while earnings growth declined by 10.1% year-over-year. This divergence implies that earnings are growing significantly slower than revenue, likely due to the recent drop in net income compressing profit margins despite stable top-line expansion. Regarding income generation, the company offers a dividend yield of 1.5% with a payout ratio of 20.4%, suggesting that the dividend payments are highly sustainable given the low proportion of earnings distributed to shareholders. The overall growth and income profile reflects a mature industrial operator that prioritizes capital allocation stability and moderate dividend returns over aggressive earnings expansion in the short term.
