企業概要

Mirion Technologies, Inc. is a specialized industrial machinery provider that delivers radiation detection, measurement, analysis, and monitoring products and services across North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region. The company operates within the Industrials sector, specifically focusing on the Specialty Industrial Machinery industry, which typically involves high-precision equipment essential for safety-critical applications in healthcare and energy sectors. As of the latest data, the firm commands a market capitalization of $4.80B and generates annual revenue of $925.40M, employing a workforce of 3,281 individuals to execute its global operations. These valuation and revenue figures position Mirion as a mid-to-large-cap entity within its niche, indicating a substantial scale that allows for significant investment in research and development while maintaining a broad geographic footprint in high-growth industries like medical imaging and nuclear safety.

財務健全性

The company reported a trailing twelve-month revenue of $925.40M, with a corresponding net income of $28.80M and an EBITDA of $204.80M, highlighting a significant disparity between operational earnings before interest and taxes and the final bottom-line profit. This substantial gap between revenue and net income reveals a cost structure heavily influenced by non-operating expenses, such as interest on debt or significant corporate overhead, which compresses the final profit margin to just 3.1%. Mirion generated free cash flow of $126.47M, which provides a critical buffer for financial flexibility, allowing the firm to service its obligations or invest in capital expenditures without relying solely on external financing. The balance sheet reflects a highly leveraged position with total debt of $1.23B against cash reserves of $419.20M, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 64.36, which suggests the company utilizes substantial borrowed capital to fund its operations. Despite the high leverage, the current ratio stands at 2.83, indicating that the company holds sufficient current assets relative to its current liabilities to comfortably meet its short-term liquidity obligations. Furthermore, the return on equity is recorded at 1.7% and the return on assets at 1.3%, metrics that reveal management effectiveness is currently challenged by the high cost of capital and the thin net profit margins inherent to the business model.

バリュエーション評価

Valuation metrics for Mirion show a trailing P/E ratio of 173.73 and a forward P/E of 28.53, a stark difference that implies the market expects a dramatic improvement in earnings trajectory over the coming twelve months to justify the current multiple. The price-to-book ratio is 2.51, indicating that the stock trades at a significant premium over its book value, which reflects investor confidence in the intangible assets and growth potential of the nuclear and medical segments rather than just the tangible asset base. Alternative valuation measures such as a price-to-sales ratio of 5.18 and an EV/EBITDA of 27.05 suggest the market is pricing the stock based on revenue growth expectations rather than current profitability, as the high EV/EBITDA multiple compensates for the low current earnings yield. Price action over the last year has seen the stock fluctuate between a 52-week high of $30.28 and a 52-week low of $12.76, with the current trading price sitting at a level that reflects the market's re-evaluation of the company's earnings power after the recent recovery from the low end of the range. The stock exhibits a beta of 1.09, which means its price volatility is slightly higher than the broader market, suggesting that the stock will tend to amplify market movements, particularly in response to interest rate changes that affect highly leveraged industrial firms.

Growth & Income

Mirion Technologies has demonstrated robust revenue expansion with a year-over-year revenue growth rate of 9.1%, while earnings growth has trailed at 2.4%, indicating that the company is currently prioritizing top-line expansion over immediate profit acceleration, likely due to the lag in recognizing the benefits of recent investments or high fixed costs. The company does not pay a dividend, as evidenced by a dividend yield of N/A and a payout ratio of 0.0%, which means that all earnings are retained and reinvested directly into growth initiatives such as new product development and market penetration rather than distributed to shareholders. This retention strategy is consistent with the company's stage of development, where capital is directed toward scaling operations in the radiation detection market rather than providing income to investors. Overall, the growth and income profile of Mirion is characterized by strong revenue momentum and zero dividend distribution, presenting an opportunity for capital appreciation but offering no current yield component to the total return.
