회사 개요

Phibro Animal Health Corporation is a specialized entity operating within the healthcare sector, specifically classified under drug manufacturers for specialty and generic products. The company delivers animal health and mineral nutrition solutions across diverse global markets including the United States, Latin America, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific region. Its operational scope is structured through three distinct business segments: Animal Health, Mineral Nutrition, and Performance Products. Currently, the corporation maintains a market capitalization of $2.38 billion and generates annual revenue of $1.46 billion while employing 2,475 individuals worldwide. These valuation and revenue metrics position the firm as a mid-cap player with a significant footprint in the global animal nutrition industry, indicating a substantial operational scale that spans multiple geographic territories and product categories.

재무 건전성

The company reported a trailing twelve-month revenue of $1.46 billion with a corresponding net income of $92.09 million and an EBITDA of $228.84 million. The substantial disparity between the $1.46 billion in revenue and the $92.09 million in net income highlights a cost structure where operating expenses, including cost of goods sold, administrative costs, and other deductions, consume approximately 93.7% of top-line sales before interest and taxes are considered. Free cash flow stands at $21.79 million, which represents a critical constraint on the company's financial flexibility given the relatively high level of debt obligations. Gross margin sits at 32.3%, reflecting the pricing power and production efficiency in manufacturing animal health products, while the operating margin of 14.7% and profit margin of 6.3% indicate the degree to which operating costs and non-operating expenses impact the bottom line. On the liability side, the company holds $74.82 million in cash against $774.54 million in total debt, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 233.04%, which signifies a highly leveraged balance sheet rather than a conservative one. Despite the leverage, the current ratio of 3.05 suggests robust short-term liquidity, as current assets are more than three times the value of current liabilities, providing a buffer for meeting immediate obligations. Furthermore, the return on equity of 31.8% and return on assets of 8.3% demonstrate that management is generating significant returns on shareholder capital and utilizing assets efficiently to produce earnings.

밸류에이션 평가

The stock trades with a trailing twelve-month P/E ratio of 25.96 and a forward P/E of 17.44, implying that the market expects earnings growth sufficient to justify the current high valuation multiple relative to future projections. The price-to-book ratio of 7.15 indicates that the market prices the company at a significant premium over its tangible book value, suggesting high growth expectations or intangible asset valuations. Alternative valuation metrics such as the price-to-sales ratio of 1.62 and an EV/EBITDA of 13.45 provide context for comparing the firm's valuation against revenue generation and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization. Regarding price momentum, the 52-week high is $59.67 and the 52-week low is $16.16, meaning the current trading price sits below the recent peak but well above the yearly floor. The beta of 0.69 reveals that the stock exhibits lower price volatility compared to the broader market, moving less aggressively than the S&P 500 index during periods of market fluctuation.

Growth & Income

Revenue growth year-over-year accelerated to 20.9%, while earnings growth surged to 752.0%, indicating that profitability is expanding at a pace vastly superior to top-line sales expansion. This divergence suggests that recent earnings figures are heavily influenced by one-time items, margin expansion, or a normalization of prior costs rather than a permanent increase in operational scale. The company offers a dividend yield of 0.8% with a payout ratio of 21.2%, demonstrating that the dividend is highly sustainable given the low percentage of earnings distributed to shareholders. Consequently, the majority of retained earnings are likely being directed toward debt reduction, share repurchases, or capital expenditures rather than being paid out to investors. The overall profile combines moderate revenue expansion with exceptional recent earnings growth and a sustainable, albeit modest, dividend distribution strategy.
