कंपनी का अवलोकन

Phibro Animal Health Corporation operates as a specialized entity within the healthcare sector, specifically functioning as a drug manufacturer focused on specialty and generic pharmaceuticals for animal health. The organization delivers mineral nutrition and performance products across a vast global footprint, serving markets in the United States, Latin America, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific. Its operational scale is defined by a market capitalization of $2.38B and an annual revenue of $1.46B, supported by a workforce of 2475 employees. These valuation and revenue figures indicate a mid-to-large cap enterprise that maintains a significant presence in the animal health industry, suggesting established distribution networks and substantial production capabilities relative to its peer group.

वित्तीय स्वास्थ्य

The company reports a trailing twelve-month revenue of $1.46B, with a corresponding net income of $92.09M and an EBITDA of $228.84M. The substantial gap between the $1.46B revenue and the $92.09M net income reveals a cost structure where operating expenses, including cost of goods sold, administrative costs, and taxes, consume a significant portion of gross receipts before arriving at the bottom line. Free cash flow stands at $21.79M, which indicates that while the company generates operational earnings, its cash conversion efficiency is currently constrained, limiting immediate financial flexibility for large-scale capital expenditures or aggressive debt repayment without external financing. Profitability is further contextualized by a gross margin of 32.3%, an operating margin of 14.7%, and a profit margin of 6.3%, where the lower profit margin relative to the operating margin suggests a notable tax burden or other non-operating expenses impacting the final bottom line. The balance sheet shows a cash position of $74.82M against total debt of $774.54M, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 233.04, which characterizes the entity as highly leveraged with limited internal cash buffers to cover obligations. Liquidity is robust, evidenced by a current ratio of 3.05, indicating that the company holds more than three times the current liabilities in current assets, providing a strong safety net for short-term obligations. Return on equity is calculated at 31.8% while return on assets sits at 8.3%, revealing that management is utilizing shareholder capital very efficiently to generate returns, even though the asset base is large and leveraged.

मूल्यांकन आकलन

Valuation metrics show a trailing P/E ratio of 25.96 and a forward P/E of 17.44, implying that the market expects earnings growth to accelerate significantly in the coming year to justify the lower forward multiple compared to the current high valuation. The price-to-book ratio is 7.15, suggesting that the market prices the company at a significant premium over its tangible book value, potentially reflecting intangible assets or future growth expectations embedded in the stock price. Alternative valuation measures include a price-to-sales ratio of 1.62 and an EV/EBITDA of 13.45, which suggest the company is trading at a moderate multiple relative to its sales and earnings power, offering a different perspective on value than the P/E ratio alone. Historical price volatility is bounded by a 52-week high of $59.67 and a 52-week low of $16.16, meaning the stock is currently trading within a wide range that reflects significant recent price discovery and potential correction from recent highs. The beta value of 0.69 indicates that the stock price exhibits lower volatility relative to the broader market, moving roughly two-thirds as much as the overall index during periods of market turbulence.

Growth & Income

Revenue growth year-over-year is recorded at 20.9%, while earnings growth year-over-year reaches an impressive 752.0%, indicating that earnings are expanding at a rate vastly superior to revenue, which often signals margin expansion or one-time gains affecting the bottom line. The company maintains a dividend yield of 0.8% with a payout ratio of 21.2%, suggesting a conservative approach to dividend distribution that is highly sustainable given the low payout percentage relative to the strong earnings growth. This low payout ratio allows the company to retain the majority of its earnings for reinvestment in operations, R&D, or debt reduction rather than distributing them to shareholders. The overall growth and income profile presents a mix of rapid earnings acceleration and a modest, sustainable dividend yield, catering to investors seeking both capital appreciation potential and a small income component.
