企業概要

QUALCOMM Incorporated is a global leader dedicated to the development and commercialization of foundational technologies for the wireless industry, operating through three distinct segments that drive its market presence. The company operates within the Technology sector, specifically in the Semiconductors industry, positioning it as a critical supplier of intellectual property and hardware solutions essential for modern connectivity. As of the latest data, QUALCOMM holds a substantial market capitalization of $135.43 billion and generates annual revenue of $44.87 billion, supported by a workforce of 52,000 employees. These valuation metrics and revenue figures indicate that the company maintains a massive scale within the semiconductor landscape, reflecting its significant influence over the wireless infrastructure market and its capacity to sustain extensive research and development operations globally.

財務健全性

QUALCOMM reported total revenue of $44.87 billion over the trailing twelve months, with net income reaching $5.37 billion and EBITDA standing at $13.76 billion, illustrating a robust operational cash generation capability. The disparity between the total revenue of $44.87 billion and the net income of $5.37 billion highlights a cost structure where operating expenses, including research, administration, and other costs, consume a significant portion of top-line growth before reaching the bottom line. The company demonstrates strong financial flexibility with free cash flow of $10.42 billion, which provides ample liquidity to fund capital expenditures, repay debt, or return capital to shareholders without compromising operational stability. Profitability efficiency is evident across three key margins: a gross margin of 55.1% indicates high pricing power and low cost of goods sold, an operating margin of 27.5% reflects effective control over operating expenses, and a profit margin of 12.0% shows the final return on sales after all costs. Liquidity and solvency are managed with $11.82 billion in cash against $14.82 billion in total debt, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 64.22% that suggests a moderately leveraged but manageable balance sheet structure. Short-term liquidity is well-positioned with a current ratio of 2.50, indicating that the company possesses more than double the current assets needed to cover its short-term liabilities. Management effectiveness is further quantified by a return on equity of 21.5% and a return on assets of 14.0%, metrics that reveal the company's ability to generate substantial returns relative to the capital invested by shareholders and the total asset base employed.

バリュエーション評価

Valuation multiples for QUALCOMM show a trailing P/E ratio of 25.56 and a forward P/E of 11.43, a significant divergence that implies the market expects earnings to grow substantially in the coming year to align current valuations with future performance expectations. The price-to-book ratio stands at 5.90, suggesting that the market values the company at nearly six times its book value, which typically indicates a premium assigned to intangible assets like patents and the company's dominant market position in wireless technology. Alternative valuation metrics such as a price-to-sales ratio of 3.02 and an EV/EBITDA of 10.05 provide additional context, suggesting the stock is priced at a level that rewards its high cash flow generation relative to enterprise value and sales volume. Historical price volatility is contextualized by a 52-week high of $205.95 and a 52-week low of $120.80, meaning the current trading price sits at a specific point within this range that reflects recent market sentiment and technical positioning relative to the annual extremes. The stock exhibits a beta of 1.28, which indicates that the share price is more volatile than the broader market, moving with greater intensity during periods of market stress or rallies compared to the standard market index.

Growth & Income

Growth dynamics are characterized by a revenue growth rate of 5.0% year-over-year paired with an earnings growth rate of -1.8% year-over-year, indicating that earnings are currently contracting relative to revenue expansion, which may suggest rising cost pressures or one-time charges impacting the bottom line despite steady top-line performance. As a dividend payer, the company offers a dividend yield of 2.8% with a payout ratio of 71.0%, a level that requires monitoring to ensure sustainability given the recent decline in earnings growth which could compress the ratio if profitability does not recover. The combination of moderate revenue growth and negative earnings growth presents a mixed profile where income generation is prioritized through dividends while capital allocation for organic growth faces headwinds from the current earnings contraction. Overall, QUALCOMM presents a financial profile where established cash flows support a meaningful dividend yield, yet the near-term growth trajectory faces a challenge as earnings lag behind revenue expansion.
