Northfield Bancorp, Inc. operates as the bank holding company for Northfield Bank that provides a range of banking services primarily to individuals and corporate customers. It offers deposit accounts, including transaction, money market savings, certificates of deposit, passbook and statement savings deposit accounts. The company also provides commercial and industrial and owner-occupied commercial real estate loans; one-to-four family residential real estate loans; multifamily loans; construction and land loans; home equity loans and lines of credit; and small business loans. In addition, it purchases investment securities, including mortgage-backed securities and corporate bonds, and deposit funds in other financial institutions. Further, the company provides automated teller machines and debit cards; telephone, internet, and mobile banking services; and ACH and wire transfers, cash management, positive pay, and remote deposit capture services. It operates in Richmond and Kings counties in New York; and Hunterdon, Mercer, Union, and Middlesex counties in New Jersey.
