Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This policy explains what information is collected when you visit StockVS, who collects it and what choices you have. StockVS has no user accounts, sign-up forms, comments or newsletters, and never asks for your name, email address or financial details.
Information Collected
StockVS uses Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used: the pages you view and how you reached them, how long you stay, how far you scroll on stock, ETF and sector pages, which outbound or related-page links you click, and your browser, device type and approximate location. Until you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics stores nothing on your device and sends Google only cookieless signals about your visit; once you accept, it sets cookies that let it recognize your browser on later visits. Cloudflare, which delivers the site, also processes the technical details of every request, such as your IP address, to serve pages and block automated abuse, and runs a cookieless script that measures page views and loading speed.
Third-Party Services
Pages on StockVS make your browser contact these services: Cloudflare, which delivers the site; Google, for Tag Manager and Analytics; and jsDelivr, which serves the consent banner's files. On stock and ETF pages, some news thumbnails load directly from the publisher's own image server, which is not told which page you were on, and a link you follow takes you to a site with its own policy. StockVS sends market data providers such as Yahoo Finance and Finnhub no information about visitors: their data is collected by StockVS's own pipeline, never through your browser. Each of these services has its own privacy policy.
Data Retention
StockVS keeps no visitor database and no account or profile of any visitor. Google keeps analytics data for the retention period set in the site's Google Analytics property and under its own policies, and Cloudflare keeps request data under its own policies. Your consent choice stays in your browser until you change it or clear the site's data.
Your Choices
You can accept or reject analytics in the consent banner on your first visit. After that, a cookie button on the site's pages reopens your preferences, so you can switch analytics on or off at any time; switching it off returns Google Analytics to its cookieless mode, while cookies it has already set remain until they expire or you delete them. You can also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
