회사 개요
Wolverine World Wide, Inc. is a prominent player in the footwear and accessories industry, engaged in the design, manufacture, sourcing, marketing, licensing, and distribution of its products across major global regions including the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Asia Pacific, Canada, and Latin America. The company operates within the Consumer Cyclical sector, where its performance is intrinsically linked to broader economic cycles and consumer discretionary spending patterns. This enterprise operates through two distinct business segments, the Active Group and the Work Group, allowing it to diversify its product offerings and address varied market demands. In terms of scale, the company holds a market capitalization of $1.38B and generates annual revenue of $1.87B while employing a workforce of 3050 individuals. These valuation and revenue figures indicate that Wolverine World Wide, Inc. maintains a significant position within its niche, commanding a substantial market value that reflects investor confidence in its operational model and geographic reach.
재무 건전성
The company reported a trailing twelve-month revenue of $1.87B, with a corresponding net income of $93.10M and an EBITDA of $179.10M. The substantial gap between the total revenue and the net income reveals a cost structure where operating expenses, including cost of goods sold and administrative costs, consume a significant portion of top-line sales before reaching the bottom line. The business generated free cash flow of $123.25M, which signifies a strong capacity to fund capital expenditures, service debt obligations, and return capital to shareholders without relying on external financing. Wolverine World Wide, Inc. maintains a cash balance of $206.30M against total debt of $762.00M, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 180.10. This leverage metric indicates a balance sheet that is heavily reliant on debt financing relative to shareholder equity, suggesting a more aggressive capital structure typical of certain capital-intensive retail or manufacturing sectors. The current ratio stands at 1.40, indicating that the company possesses sufficient current assets to cover its short-term liabilities with a comfortable margin of 40%. Furthermore, the Return on Equity is 27.1% while the Return on Assets is 5.7%, revealing that management is highly effective at generating profits for shareholders relative to the equity invested, though asset utilization efficiency is lower when considering the total asset base.
밸류에이션 평가
The stock currently trades with a trailing P/E ratio of 14.75 and a forward P/E of 10.00. The significant difference between these two metrics implies that the market expects earnings to grow substantially in the future, as the forward multiple is much lower than the trailing multiple. The price-to-book ratio is 3.35, which indicates that the market values the company at a premium of 3.35 times its book value, reflecting expectations of future growth and intangible asset value beyond the recorded net assets. Alternative valuation metrics such as the price-to-sales ratio of 0.74 and an EV/EBITDA of 10.82 suggest the company is priced at a discount relative to its sales and earnings power compared to high-growth peers, yet still commands a premium over book value. Regarding price momentum, the 52-week high is $32.80 and the 52-week low is $9.58. To calculate the current price position relative to this range, one must note the wide dispersion between the high and low, with the current trading price situated significantly below the 52-week high of $32.80. The beta value is 1.87, which means the stock's price volatility is expected to be 87% higher than the broader market, indicating high sensitivity to market swings.
Growth & Income
The company demonstrated a revenue growth rate of 4.6% year-over-year and an earnings growth rate of 36.0% year-over-year. The fact that earnings are growing at a rate nearly eight times faster than revenue implies significant operational leverage, cost efficiencies, or margin expansion that is outpacing top-line expansion. Wolverine World Wide, Inc. offers a dividend yield of 2.4% and maintains a payout ratio of 35.1%. This payout ratio is highly sustainable given the company's earnings growth and robust free cash flow generation, allowing it to maintain or potentially increase dividends over time without compromising financial stability. The overall growth and income profile presents a hybrid characteristic where the company supports current income through dividends while simultaneously delivering exceptional earnings growth that exceeds revenue growth.
