회사 개요

Delek US Holdings, Inc. is an integrated downstream energy enterprise focused on the United States market, where it processes crude oil and various feedstocks to manufacture multiple grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, and aviation fuel. The company operates within the Energy sector and specifically functions in the Oil & Gas Refining & Marketing industry, a segment characterized by the transformation of raw resources into consumer and industrial energy products. Its operational scale is substantial, evidenced by a market capitalization of $2.46B, annual revenue of $10.72B, and an employee base of 1902 individuals. These financial magnitudes indicate that the company holds a significant position in the downstream value chain, managing a large infrastructure network to distribute refined products across the nation.

재무 건전성

The company reported a trailing twelve-month revenue of $10.72B, yet it posted a net income of -$19,800,000, revealing a cost structure where expenses and taxes significantly eroded operational profits despite high sales volume. However, the entity generated an EBITDA of $774.20M, suggesting that while accounting losses exist, core cash generation from operations before interest and taxes remains robust. This financial flexibility is further supported by a free cash flow of $118.10M, which provides liquidity for capital expenditures and debt servicing without relying on external financing. Margin analysis shows a gross margin of 9.2%, an operating margin of 7.1%, and a profit margin of -0.2%, indicating that while the refining process is profitable on a gross basis, the company faces substantial non-operating costs or interest burdens that impact the bottom line. The balance sheet presents a leveraged profile with total debt of $3.55B against cash reserves of $625.80M, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 648.67. Although the current ratio stands at 0.82, suggesting that current liabilities exceed current assets, the high EBITDA coverage implies the debt service obligations are likely manageable through operational cash flow. Return on Equity is recorded at 8.2% while Return on Assets is 3.5%, metrics that reveal management's ability to generate returns on shareholder capital is moderate, but asset efficiency is low due to the high debt load and negative net income affecting the equity base.

밸류에이션 평가

Valuation metrics present a complex picture, with a trailing P/E ratio listed as N/A due to the negative net income, while the forward P/E stands at 30.81, implying that the market is pricing in a significant expected recovery in earnings growth over the coming year. The price-to-book ratio of 8.58 indicates that the stock trades at a substantial premium relative to its book value, reflecting market expectations for future growth or asset value that is not fully captured on the current balance sheet. Alternative valuation measures include a price-to-sales ratio of 0.23 and an EV/EBITDA of 7.29, which suggest the company is valued at a reasonable multiple of its sales and earnings power despite the current earnings deficit. Price volatility analysis shows a 52-week high of $48.32 and a 52-week low of $11.07, placing the current trading price within a wide historical range that reflects significant sentiment swings. The beta value of 0.66 indicates that the stock exhibits lower price volatility relative to the broader market, making it less sensitive to general equity market fluctuations compared to high-beta energy stocks.

Growth & Income

Revenue growth over the last year is recorded at 2.3%, whereas earnings growth is N/A due to the recent net loss, implying that top-line expansion is currently not translating into bottom-line profitability. The company maintains a dividend yield of 2.5% with a payout ratio of 308.3%, a figure that is mathematically unsustainable given the negative net income and indicates that dividends are likely being funded through cash reserves or debt rather than organic earnings retention. This high payout ratio suggests a temporary situation where the company prioritizes returning capital to shareholders despite its current inability to cover dividends from profits. Overall, the growth and income profile reflects a mature refining business experiencing modest revenue expansion but facing significant earnings headwinds that necessitate a reliance on cash flows rather than reported net income for shareholder returns.
