회사 개요
Can-Fite BioPharma Ltd. operates as a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical entity focused on the development of orally bioavailable small molecule therapeutic products designed to treat conditions such as cancer, liver inflammatory diseases, and erectile dysfunction within the Israeli market. The company functions within the broader Healthcare sector and specifically targets the Biotechnology industry, which implies a high-risk, high-reward environment characterized by significant capital expenditure on research and development before commercial product approval is achieved. Currently, the enterprise maintains a market capitalization of $6.88M, generates annual revenue of $405,000, and employs a staff of 5 individuals. These specific financial and operational metrics indicate that Can-Fite BioPharma Ltd. is a micro-cap entity with extremely limited revenue generation relative to its market valuation, suggesting the company remains in a pre-commercialization or early-stage development phase where valuation is driven primarily by asset potential rather than current cash flows or profitability.
재무 건전성
The company reported a trailing twelve-month revenue of $405,000 against a net income of $-9,828,000 and an EBITDA of $-9,926,000, revealing a substantial disparity between top-line sales and bottom-line results that points to a cost structure dominated by heavy operating expenses and R&D burn rather than operational inefficiencies. Free cash flow stands at $-4,985,750, which signifies a negative financial flexibility where the company is consuming its cash reserves to fund operations and development activities instead of generating surplus liquidity for debt repayment or shareholder distributions. The gross margin is reported at 100.0%, indicating that the cost of goods sold is negligible compared to revenue, likely due to the intangible nature of the drug development process at this stage, whereas the operating margin of -2488.7% and profit margin of 0.0% illustrate the severe erosion of earnings by general and administrative costs. On the liability side, the company holds $8.54M in cash assets against $71,000 in debt, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 1.27, which suggests a balance sheet that is technically leveraged but heavily weighted toward cash holdings rather than indebtedness. The current ratio is 3.46, indicating a robust short-term liquidity position where current assets significantly exceed current liabilities, providing ample buffer against immediate financial obligations. Furthermore, the return on equity is -178.2% and the return on assets is -66.7%, metrics that reveal that management effectiveness, as measured by traditional profitability ratios, is currently negative due to the cumulative losses inherent in the clinical-stage development lifecycle.
밸류에이션 평가
The valuation metrics present a complex picture with a trailing P/E ratio of N/A and a forward P/E of -4.01, where the negative forward P/E implies that analysts or the market expects future earnings to remain negative or for the company to continue burning cash before achieving profitability. The price-to-book ratio is 0.69, indicating that the market values the company at approximately 69% of its net asset book value, which often suggests a market discount applied to biotech firms with significant cash holdings but unproven commercial assets. Alternative valuation metrics such as the price-to-sales ratio of 16.98 and an EV/EBITDA of -0.41 suggest that the stock is priced significantly relative to its minimal sales volume, a common characteristic of early-stage biotech firms where revenue is not yet a primary driver of valuation. In terms of trading range, the 52-week high is $36.40 and the 52-week low is $2.93, placing the current trading price within a highly volatile range that reflects the speculative nature of the investment. The beta value of -0.10 indicates a unique price volatility profile where the stock's price movements do not correlate positively with the broader market index, moving inversely or with negligible correlation to general market trends.
Growth & Income
Revenue growth year-over-year stands at -43.3%, while earnings growth is marked as N/A, indicating that the company is currently shrinking in terms of top-line sales rather than expanding its commercial footprint. The negative revenue growth suggests a decline in sales or a contraction in the addressable market for current therapeutic candidates, while the absence of earnings growth data aligns with the company's negative net income position. As a non-dividend payer, the company reports a dividend yield of N/A and a payout ratio of 0.0%, meaning that instead of distributing cash to shareholders, the company retains all available capital to fund its ongoing research and development efforts. This reinvestment strategy is typical for clinical-stage biotechs that prioritize product pipeline advancement over income distribution, effectively directing the $8.54M cash reserve toward reducing the operational deficit rather than rewarding investors with yield.
