회사 개요

Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc. operates as a premier distributor of industrial motion, power, control, and automation technology solutions, serving markets across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Costa Rica. The company functions within the Industrials sector and specifically the Industrial Distribution industry, where it provides essential components and services required for manufacturing and infrastructure projects. This business operates through two primary segments, namely the Service Center and Engineered Solutions, reflecting a diversified operational model within the distribution landscape. With a market capitalization of $10.80B and annual revenue reaching $4.75B, the firm demonstrates significant scale supported by a workforce of 6,794 employees. These valuation and revenue figures indicate that the company holds a substantial position in its market, commanding a premium valuation relative to smaller competitors while maintaining a large operational footprint that supports consistent service delivery across multiple geographic regions.

재무 건전성

The company reported total revenue of $4.75B for the trailing twelve months, generating net income of $403.79M and an EBITDA of $585.08M. The substantial gap between the $4.75B revenue and $403.79M net income reveals a cost structure characterized by significant operating expenses, including cost of goods sold, logistics, and personnel costs inherent to the distribution model. Despite these expenses, the business generated free cash flow of $375.58M, which provides the organization with considerable financial flexibility to fund operations, manage working capital needs, or pursue strategic acquisitions without relying heavily on external financing. The profitability metrics show a gross margin of 30.4%, an operating margin of 10.6%, and a profit margin of 8.5%, indicating that the company retains roughly one dollar of profit for every ten dollars of revenue after covering all direct and indirect costs. On the balance sheet, the company holds $405.99M in cash against $572.30M in debt, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 30.53% which suggests a conservative capital structure with manageable leverage levels. Short-term liquidity is robust, evidenced by a current ratio of 3.68, meaning the firm possesses more than three times the current assets necessary to cover its current liabilities. Management effectiveness is highlighted by a return on equity of 22.0% and a return on assets of 10.4%, demonstrating the ability to generate significant returns on the capital invested by shareholders and deployed across the asset base.

밸류에이션 평가

Valuation multiples for Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc. include a trailing P/E ratio of 27.25 and a forward P/E of 24.64. The difference between the trailing and forward P/E ratios implies that the market expects earnings growth in the future, as the forward multiple is lower than the trailing multiple, suggesting an anticipated increase in profitability relative to the current earnings base. The price-to-book ratio stands at 5.71, indicating that the company trades at a significant premium over its book value, which often reflects intangible assets, brand strength, or growth expectations not captured in historical accounting values. Alternative valuation metrics such as a price-to-sales ratio of 2.27 and an EV/EBITDA of 18.55 provide additional context, showing that the market values the company's sales and earnings power at levels consistent with high-quality industrial distributors. Price action over the past year shows a 52-week high of $296.70 and a 52-week low of $202.42, meaning the current trading price sits within this established range and reflects recent market volatility. The stock exhibits a beta of 0.82, which indicates that the share price is generally less volatile than the broader market, moving with less intensity than the overall index during periods of market fluctuation.

Growth & Income

Growth metrics show a revenue growth rate of 8.4% year-over-year and an earnings growth rate of 5.0% year-over-year. The fact that earnings are growing at a slower pace than revenue suggests that the company is expanding its top line, but profitability improvements are being tempered by rising costs or margin pressures during this specific period. The company pays a dividend with a yield of 0.7% and maintains a payout ratio of 17.5%, which is a low percentage of earnings, indicating that the payout is highly sustainable and leaves ample room for reinvestment into the business. The low payout ratio further implies that the company prioritizes retaining earnings for internal growth initiatives rather than distributing the majority of profits to shareholders. Overall, the company presents a profile of steady double-digit revenue expansion with moderate earnings growth, supported by a conservative dividend policy that offers modest income to investors while preserving capital for future operational scalability.
