企業概要

United Homes Group, Inc. is a publicly traded residential builder that specializes in the design, construction, and sale of homes within specific geographic regions. This enterprise operates within the Consumer Cyclical sector, specifically targeting the Residential Construction industry, which implies its performance is closely tied to broader economic cycles and housing demand trends. The company maintains a workforce of 195 employees and holds a market capitalization of $68.83M, while reporting trailing twelve-month revenue of $406.69M. These valuation and revenue figures indicate that the company functions as a small-cap entity with a relatively modest revenue footprint compared to major national homebuilders, suggesting a niche operational focus rather than widespread market dominance. The scale of the operation, evidenced by the $68.83M market cap, reflects a smaller public footprint typical of regional construction firms that have not yet achieved the massive valuation multiples of industry leaders.

財務健全性

The company reported trailing twelve-month revenue of $406.69M against a net income of $-16,252,000 and an EBITDA of $972,000, revealing a significant gap between top-line sales and bottom-line profitability that points to substantial operating expenses or non-operating losses impacting the final result. Free cash flow stands at $-25,560,376, indicating that the company's operational cash generation is currently being consumed by capital expenditures or working capital requirements, which limits immediate financial flexibility for strategic acquisitions or debt reduction without external financing. The gross margin is recorded at 17.7%, which is a standard figure for residential construction, while the operating margin of 1.2% suggests that overhead costs are consuming a large portion of gross profits before reaching the bottom line. Furthermore, the profit margin of -4.0% confirms that the company is currently operating at a loss on a per-dollar-of-sales basis, a common characteristic during periods of market downturn or inventory build-up. On the balance sheet, cash holdings of $24.42M are significantly lower than total debt of $147.58M, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 257.24, which classifies the capital structure as highly leveraged and sensitive to interest rate fluctuations. The current ratio of 3.63 indicates strong short-term liquidity, as current assets are more than three times current liabilities, providing a buffer to meet upcoming obligations despite the high absolute debt level. Return on equity is -26.2% and return on assets is -0.0%, metrics that collectively reveal that management has not yet generated positive returns on the shareholders' equity or the total asset base, signaling a phase of consolidation or restructuring rather than value creation.

バリュエーション評価

Both the trailing P/E ratio and forward P/E ratio are listed as N/A due to the negative net income, meaning traditional earnings-based valuation multiples cannot be calculated to assess the earnings trajectory or future expectations directly through these specific metrics. The price-to-book ratio is 1.20, indicating that the market values the company at 120% of its book value, which may suggest a slight premium or an expectation of future growth potential despite current losses. Alternative valuation metrics such as the price-to-sales ratio of 0.17 and an EV/EBITDA of 197.52 provide different perspectives, where the low P/S ratio suggests the stock trades at a fraction of its revenue while the extremely high EV/EBITDA reflects the difficulty in valuing a loss-making entity using cash flow multiples. The 52-week high is $4.78 and the 52-week low is $0.99, establishing a trading range where the current market price sits significantly closer to the low end, highlighting the recent volatility and downward pressure on the share price. The beta value is 1.15, which signifies that the stock price is approximately 15% more volatile than the broader market, exposing investors to higher systematic risk during periods of market turbulence.

Growth & Income

Revenue growth year-over-year is -8.5%, while earnings growth year-over-year is 278.1%, demonstrating a divergence where earnings are growing at a much faster rate than revenue, likely driven by a base effect from the prior year's significant losses turning toward smaller losses or breakeven status. As a non-dividend payer, the company does not distribute a dividend yield or has a payout ratio of 0.0%, meaning the company retains all earnings to reinvest into growth initiatives, debt repayment, or operational improvements rather than distributing income to shareholders. The overall growth and income profile reflects a high-risk, high-volatility characteristic typical of small-cap construction firms in a cyclical downturn, where revenue contraction is occurring while the path to profitability is being pursued through cost management or asset optimization strategies.
