分析

企業概要

Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated operates as a utility provider within the United States, specializing in electric and gas utility services as well as nuclear generation through its subsidiary segments. The company functions specifically within the Utilities sector and the Utilities - Regulated Electric industry, which implies its revenue streams are subject to regulatory oversight and stable demand patterns inherent to essential energy services. Its total market capitalization stands at $41.28B, supported by annual revenue of $12.17B and an employee base of 13,189 individuals. These valuation and revenue figures indicate that PEG holds a substantial position in the regulated utility market, reflecting a large-scale operational footprint that serves a significant customer base across its service territories.

財務健全性

The company reported annual revenue of $12.17B with a corresponding net income of $2.11B and EBITDA of $4.50B, highlighting a significant gap between total revenue and net profit that reveals a substantial cost structure involving operational expenses, depreciation, and interest costs. Free cash flow stands at $-105,000,000, indicating that current capital expenditures and operational cash outflows temporarily exceed cash generated from operations, which constrains immediate financial flexibility for non-core investments. Gross margin is recorded at 34.8%, operating margin at 18.1%, and profit margin at 17.3%, where these figures demonstrate the efficiency of revenue conversion at each stage of the business model from production to final net earnings. The balance sheet shows cash holdings of $132.00M against total debt of $24.23B, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 142.68, which characterizes the capital structure as highly leveraged rather than conservative. A current ratio of 0.80 suggests that the company's liquid assets are insufficient to cover its short-term liabilities, indicating potential liquidity pressure in the near term. Return on equity is 12.8% while return on assets is 3.4%, metrics that reveal management's effectiveness in generating returns for shareholders relative to the total asset base employed in the business.

バリュエーション評価

The trailing twelve-month P/E ratio is 19.60, while the forward P/E is projected at 17.56, implying that the market expects earnings growth sufficient to lower the multiple over the coming fiscal period. The price-to-book ratio is 2.43, indicating that the market values the company's equity at a significant premium over its tangible book value, likely reflecting the intangible value of regulated monopolies and long-term assets. Alternative valuation metrics such as the price-to-sales ratio of 3.39 and the EV/EBITDA of 14.51 provide additional context, suggesting the stock is priced moderately relative to its sales volume and earnings power before interest, taxes, and depreciation. The stock has traded between a 52-week high of $91.26 and a low of $75.17, with the current price position requiring calculation based on the latest market data to determine its distance from these historical extremes. With a beta of 0.60, the stock exhibits lower price volatility relative to the broader market, making it a less sensitive instrument to general market swings compared to the overall index.

Growth & Income

Revenue growth year-over-year is 18.3%, whereas earnings growth year-over-year is 10.5%, indicating that earnings are growing slower than revenue, which may suggest rising input costs or regulatory adjustments affecting the bottom line more than top-line sales volume. As a dividend payer, the company offers a dividend yield of 3.2% with a payout ratio of 59.7%, a level that appears sustainable given the current earnings growth rate and the typical stability of utility cash flows. The combination of moderate earnings growth and a consistent dividend yield defines the overall profile, presenting an income-focused growth characteristic typical of regulated utility firms in the sector.
