Deswell Industries, Inc. engages in the manufacturing and sale of injection-molded plastic parts and components, and electronic products assembling. The company operates in two segments, Plastic Injection Molding and Electronic Products Assembling. It produces plastic parts and components for use in the manufacture of consumer and industrial products, such as film injection, integrated injection, and insert injection. The company offers plastic components of electronic entertainment products; plastic components for power tools, accessories, and outdoor equipment; cases for flashlights, telephones, printers, and scanners; parts for industrial components, indoor control switches, and audio equipment; cases and key tops for personal organizers and remote controls; and laser key and double injection caps. In addition, the company provides parts for medical products such as apparatus for blood tests; automobile components; and plastic components of automatic robots comprising mops and vacuums. Further, it manufactures electronic products consisting of digital and analogue audio mixers, amplifiers, signal processors, audio interfaces, network audio equipment, and speaker enclosures; multi-channel receivers and amplifiers, wired and wireless audio streaming products, and headphones; printed circuit board assemblies using surface mount technology, automatic insertion, and pin-through-hole interconnection technologies; and medical products. The company operates in the United States, the People's Republic of China, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Europe, Canada, and internationally. Deswell Industries, Inc. was founded in 1987 and is based in Macau.
