公司概述

Commercial Metals Company manufactures, recycles, and fabricates steel and metal products alongside related materials and services across the United States, Poland, China, and international markets. The enterprise operates within the Industrials sector, specifically functioning in the Metal Fabrication industry, which entails processing raw materials into finished goods for various downstream applications. This industrial entity employs a workforce of 12,690 individuals and holds a total market capitalization of $7.27B with annual revenue reaching $8.39B over the trailing twelve-month period. These valuation and revenue figures indicate that the company maintains a substantial presence in the global metal fabrication landscape, supported by a diversified operational footprint spanning three distinct segments: the North America Steel Group, the Europe Steel Group, and the Emerging Businesses Group.

财务健康

The company reported revenue of $8.39B and generated a net income of $505.22M, while achieving an EBITDA of $1.06B during the trailing twelve months. The significant gap between the $8.39B revenue and the $505.22M net income reveals a cost structure where operating expenses, including the cost of goods sold and administrative costs, consume approximately 94% of gross revenue before reaching the bottom line. Free cash flow stands at $144.20M, which provides the company with a degree of financial flexibility to manage capital expenditures or service debt obligations without relying solely on external financing. Profitability metrics show a gross margin of 17.7%, an operating margin of 8.2%, and a profit margin of 6.0%, indicating that the company retains a moderate portion of sales revenue after covering direct production costs and overhead expenses. On the balance sheet, cash holdings of $495.04M are significantly lower than total debt of $3.60B, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 81.61, which suggests the company utilizes a leveraged capital structure rather than a conservative one. Liquidity is supported by a current ratio of 2.38, indicating that current assets are more than double current liabilities, thereby providing a comfortable buffer for meeting short-term obligations. Management effectiveness is reflected in a return on equity of 12.0% and a return on assets of 5.7%, demonstrating the ability to generate returns that exceed the cost of equity capital relative to the asset base.

估值评估

Valuation multiples show a trailing P/E ratio of 14.67 compared to a forward P/E of 9.42, implying that the market expects a significant increase in earnings in the coming years relative to current profit levels. The price-to-book ratio is 1.65, indicating that the stock trades at a 65% premium over its book value, reflecting market expectations of future growth or intangible advantages not captured in the net asset value. Alternative valuation metrics include a price-to-sales ratio of 0.87 and an EV/EBITDA of 9.80, suggesting that the company is valued at less than one dollar of sales per dollar of revenue and offers an earnings yield relative to enterprise value that is attractive for capital-intensive industries. The stock's 52-week trading range spans from a low of $38.38 to a high of $84.87, providing a context for price volatility and historical support levels. The beta value is 1.47, which means the stock exhibits higher price volatility than the broader market, moving approximately 47% more aggressively than the market index during periods of fluctuation.

Growth & Income

Revenue growth over the trailing twelve months reached 21.5% year-over-year, while earnings growth surged to 277.3% year-over-year, indicating that earnings are growing substantially faster than revenue due to significant efficiency improvements or one-time gains. As a dividend payer, the company offers a dividend yield of 1.1% with a payout ratio of 16.1%, suggesting that the current dividend distribution is highly sustainable given the robust earnings expansion and low payout intensity. The low payout ratio leaves ample room for the company to reinvest earnings into operational growth, capacity expansion, or debt reduction rather than maximizing immediate shareholder distributions via dividends. Overall, the growth and income profile presents a company with accelerating profitability, a conservative dividend payout relative to earnings, and a market valuation that accounts for high expected earnings growth despite the leveraged balance sheet.
