회사 개요

C&F Financial Corporation operates as a bank holding company that provides a comprehensive suite of banking services tailored for both individual consumers and commercial businesses. The entity functions within the Financial Services sector, specifically classified under the Banks - Regional industry, which characterizes its focus on localized lending and deposit-taking activities rather than national-scale operations. This regional banking profile is supported by a workforce of 575 employees who manage the organization's core operations across its designated service areas. The company's current market capitalization stands at $250.14M, while its trailing twelve-month revenue reaches $129.29M, indicating a mid-sized regional bank with a significant but contained footprint in the financial services landscape.

재무 건전성

C&F Financial Corporation reported a revenue of $129.29M over the trailing twelve months, generating a net income of $26.84M, whereas the EBITDA metric is not disclosed in the available financial data. The substantial difference between the total revenue figure and the net income of $26.84M reveals a cost structure where expenses, including interest on deposits and operational costs, consume approximately 79.2% of total revenue before reaching the bottom line. Although the company holds $82.81M in cash reserves, it simultaneously carries a debt load of $118.52M, suggesting a reliance on borrowed funds to finance its asset base despite the absence of a disclosed debt-to-equity ratio. The balance sheet presents a mixed picture of liquidity and leverage, as the company maintains a positive cash position but owes more than it holds in liquid assets, a common dynamic for banks managing high loan portfolios. The gross margin is listed at 0.0%, which is standard for financial institutions as their primary product is interest-bearing assets and liabilities rather than physical goods, while the operating margin stands at 25.0% and the profit margin sits at 20.8%. These margin levels indicate that after covering all operating expenses, the company retains a significant portion of its revenue as profit, demonstrating efficient cost management relative to its revenue base. Return on Equity is calculated at 11.0%, reflecting a healthy return generated on shareholders' invested capital, while the Return on Assets is 1.0%, which is a typical efficiency metric for the banking sector that measures how effectively the institution utilizes its total assets to generate earnings.

밸류에이션 평가

The valuation of C&F Financial Corporation is anchored by a Trailing Twelve Months P/E ratio of 9.27, while the Forward P/E ratio is not available in the provided data. The absence of a forward P/E metric prevents a direct comparison regarding future earnings expectations, though the current low trailing P/E suggests the market values the company at a discount relative to its historical earnings. The price-to-book ratio is recorded at 0.95, indicating that the market capitalization is slightly below the company's book value, which often implies the stock is trading at a discount to its net asset value or that investors anticipate specific risks. Alternative valuation metrics such as the price-to-sales ratio of 1.93 and the EV/EBITDA ratio, which is not available, provide additional context where the P/S ratio suggests the company generates nearly two dollars of sales for every dollar of market value. Over the past year, the stock price has fluctuated between a 52-week low of $53.14 and a 52-week high of $80.99, meaning the current trading price sits within this established volatility range but does not touch the upper extremes. The beta coefficient is 0.35, a figure that signifies the stock exhibits significantly lower price volatility compared to the broader market, making it a relatively defensive holding that moves less aggressively than the overall market index.

Growth & Income

C&F Financial Corporation has demonstrated consistent expansion with a year-over-year revenue growth of 13.3% and earnings growth of 10.6%, indicating that the company's earnings are growing slightly slower than its top line, which suggests that revenue expansion is being partially offset by scaling costs or margin compression. The company distributes a dividend yield of 2.5% to shareholders, backed by a payout ratio of 22.2%, which indicates a highly sustainable dividend policy given that the company retains the vast majority of its earnings for reinvestment. Because the payout ratio is well below 100%, the company retains sufficient internal capital to fund organic growth initiatives and weather potential economic downturns without needing to increase external borrowing. Overall, the growth and income profile presents a balanced scenario where steady double-digit earnings growth supports a reliable income stream while the low beta and conservative payout ratio offer stability to risk-averse investors.
