分析

企業概要

TC Energy Corporation is a prominent energy infrastructure enterprise with a comprehensive operational footprint spanning Canada, the United States, and Mexico, facilitating the transportation and processing of natural gas and other energy commodities. The firm operates within the Energy sector, specifically categorized under the Oil & Gas Midstream industry, which implies a business model focused on the physical movement and storage of hydrocarbons rather than upstream exploration or downstream refining. This massive enterprise employs approximately 6,574 individuals and holds a substantial market capitalization of $66.64B, while generating an annual revenue of $15.24B based on trailing twelve-month figures. These valuation and revenue metrics collectively indicate that TC Energy commands a significant position in the global energy logistics landscape, serving as a critical backbone for energy distribution networks across North America.

財務健全性

The company reported a total revenue of $15.24B for the trailing twelve months, with a net income of $3.61B and an EBITDA of $9.53B, illustrating a substantial gap between gross earnings and final profit that reveals a significant cost structure involving depreciation, amortization, and interest expenses. Free cash flow stands at -$1,839,124,992, indicating that current capital expenditures for maintaining or expanding infrastructure exceed operating cash generation, which temporarily constrains immediate financial flexibility for share buybacks or debt reduction. Profitability analysis shows a gross margin of 69.0%, reflecting high pricing power or low variable costs in the midstream business model, while an operating margin of 45.4% and a profit margin of 23.1% demonstrate efficient cost control after accounting for general and administrative expenses. On the balance sheet, total debt amounts to $61.02B compared to cash reserves of $581.00M, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 165.37, which characterizes a highly leveraged capital structure reliant on steady cash flows to service obligations. Short-term liquidity is constrained, as evidenced by a current ratio of 0.63, suggesting that current assets are insufficient to cover current liabilities without relying on external financing or asset sales. Return on equity stands at 11.4% while return on assets is 3.6%, metrics that reveal management's effectiveness in generating shareholder value relative to equity invested and utilizing the total asset base to produce earnings.

バリュエーション評価

Valuation multiples indicate a trailing P/E ratio of 25.66 and a forward P/E of 22.53, where the difference between these figures implies that the market expects earnings growth that will narrow the multiple over the coming fiscal periods. The price-to-book ratio is calculated at 3.69, suggesting that the market assigns a significant premium to TC Energy's intangible assets, brand value, and regulated utility-like characteristics relative to its tangible book value. Alternative valuation metrics such as a price-to-sales ratio of 4.37 and an EV/EBITDA of 14.29 provide additional context, indicating that the stock is valued on a high multiple of sales and enterprise value relative to operating cash flow generation. Historical price volatility is contained within a 52-week high of $65.57 and a 52-week low of $43.93, meaning the current market price fluctuates within a range that reflects investor sentiment regarding long-term infrastructure contracts. With a beta of 0.97, the stock exhibits price volatility that moves in tandem with the broader market, displaying only a slight deviation from the systemic risk profile of the overall equity market.

Growth & Income

Revenue growth year-over-year is recorded at 16.5%, whereas earnings growth year-over-year is significantly lower at 0.5%, implying that recent revenue expansion has not yet translated into proportional profit growth due to the high fixed cost base and leverage inherent in the midstream sector. As a consistent dividend payer, the company offers a dividend yield of 4.0% with a payout ratio of 98.0%, a figure that indicates a high level of dividend distribution relative to net income and suggests limited capacity to increase the payout without increasing earnings or reducing debt further. Given the elevated payout ratio, the company must maintain robust cash flows to sustain the current dividend level, effectively reinvesting any excess earnings into infrastructure maintenance rather than issuing additional dividends. The overall growth and income profile presents a scenario of moderate top-line expansion supported by a high current yield, though investors must monitor the earnings trajectory to ensure the sustainability of the dividend amidst a leveraged balance sheet.
