分析

企業概要

McEwen Inc. is a prominent participant in the basic materials sector, specifically within the industry of other precious metals and mining, where it focuses on the exploration, development, production, and sale of gold and silver deposits. The company also maintains an exploration program for copper deposits and holds 100% interests in key assets such as the Gold Bar gold mine located in Nevada and the Fox Complex. Operating on a global scale with significant interests in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Argentina, the enterprise employs 1,981 individuals to execute its operational strategy. With a market capitalization of $1.33B and annual revenue of $197.55M, the company represents a substantial mid-cap entity within the precious metals landscape, indicating a significant presence that requires substantial capital expenditure to maintain production levels and fund exploration activities across multiple international jurisdictions.

財務健全性

The company reported a revenue of $197.55M and a net income of $34.43M over the trailing twelve months, while EBITDA stood at $17.94M. The disparity between the $197.55M in revenue and the $34.43M in net income reveals a cost structure where operating expenses and taxes consume a significant portion of top-line growth, resulting in a net profit margin of 17.4%. Free cash flow is reported at -$15,845,750, which indicates a period of negative cash generation where capital outflows for exploration or development exceed cash inflows from operations, suggesting limited financial flexibility for immediate dividends or large-scale acquisitions without external financing. The gross margin stands at 33.8%, while the operating margin is negative at -8.9%, highlighting the challenges in covering operating costs before interest and taxes despite healthy gross profitability. The company holds $72.13M in cash against a debt load of $128.18M, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 23.47, which characterizes a highly leveraged balance sheet rather than a conservative stance. Although the current ratio is 1.69, indicating adequate short-term liquidity to cover current liabilities, the negative return on assets of -1.1% and a return on equity of 6.6% suggest that management effectiveness in utilizing assets and equity to generate value is currently constrained by high leverage and operational costs.

バリュエーション評価

The trailing twelve-month P/E ratio is 37.88, whereas the forward P/E is 4.57, implying a market expectation of a dramatic improvement in earnings trajectory that would compress the current valuation multiple. The price-to-book ratio is 2.27, indicating that the market values the company at a significant premium over its tangible book value, likely reflecting the intangible value of mineral reserves and exploration potential. Alternative valuation metrics such as a price-to-sales ratio of 6.73 and an EV/EBITDA of 77.18 suggest that the stock is priced heavily relative to both sales and earnings, a common characteristic for junior mining firms with high growth expectations but currently low profitability. The 52-week high is $29.70 and the low is $6.56, placing the current trading range within a wide volatility band that reflects the cyclical nature of precious metals equities. With a beta of 1.28, the stock exhibits volatility that is greater than the broader market, meaning price movements will likely be amplified relative to general market indices during periods of market turbulence.

Growth & Income

Revenue growth year-over-year has accelerated significantly to 92.8%, while earnings growth is marked as N/A due to the recent low base or specific reporting conditions. The divergence between high revenue growth and the absence of reported earnings growth implies that top-line expansion is being utilized to fund operations or exploration rather than immediately translating into proportional net income increases. As a non-dividend payer with a dividend yield of N/A and a payout ratio of 0.0%, the company reinvests all available earnings back into the business to fund exploration for gold, silver, and copper deposits rather than distributing cash to shareholders. This profile indicates a growth-oriented capital allocation strategy typical of mining companies in the exploration and development phase, prioritizing reserve expansion over income generation for current shareholders.
