企業概要

Ameriprise Financial, Inc. operates as a diversified financial services enterprise that provides comprehensive financial planning and advisory solutions to both individual and institutional clients across the United States and international markets. The company functions within the broader Financial Services sector, specifically specializing in the Asset Management industry, which signifies its focus on the stewardship and growth of client capital. In terms of scale, the entity commands a market capitalization of $42.08B and generates annual revenue of $18.91B while employing a workforce of 13,600 individuals. These valuation and revenue figures indicate that Ameriprise holds a substantial position within the asset management landscape, reflecting its extensive reach and the significant trust placed in its wealth management capabilities by a vast client base.

財務健全性

The company reported a trailing twelve-month revenue of $18.91B with a corresponding net income of $3.56B, while the specific EBITDA figure is not disclosed in the available data. The substantial gap between the $18.91B revenue and the $3.56B net income reveals a cost structure where operating expenses and taxes absorb approximately 81.2% of gross sales, which is typical for labor-intensive advisory models. Free cash flow stands at $3.57B, a metric that demonstrates the company's robust ability to generate liquidity beyond its capital expenditure needs, thereby ensuring significant financial flexibility for strategic initiatives or debt reduction. Three distinct margin layers further characterize profitability: a gross margin of 56.2%, an operating margin of 35.3%, and a profit margin of 18.8%, each indicating efficient conversion of sales into operating profit and finally into net earnings. Liquidity and leverage profiles are defined by a cash holding of $10.10B against total debt of $3.77B, alongside a debt-to-equity ratio of 57.60, suggesting a conservative balance sheet where cash assets significantly exceed interest-bearing obligations. Short-term liquidity is further evidenced by a current ratio of 2.29, which indicates that the company holds more than double the current assets required to settle its current liabilities without needing to sell long-term assets. Management effectiveness is highlighted by a return on equity of 60.5% and a return on assets of 2.3%, metrics that show how efficiently the company utilizes shareholder capital and total assets to generate returns, respectively.

バリュエーション評価

Valuation metrics reveal that the trailing P/E ratio is 12.48 while the forward P/E is 9.78, implying that the market expects earnings to grow in the future as the forward multiple is notably lower than the trailing one. The price-to-book ratio is recorded at 6.31, indicating that the market prices the stock at a significant premium over its book value, likely reflecting the high quality of its human capital and intangible assets. Alternative valuation perspectives are provided by a price-to-sales ratio of 2.23 and an EV/EBITDA metric that is not available in the current dataset, suggesting investors rely heavily on revenue-based and earnings-based multiples to assess value. The stock has traded between a 52-week low of $418.54 and a 52-week high of $550.18, with the current share price sitting at a level that requires precise calculation relative to this historical range to determine exact percentage proximity to the highs or lows. Price volatility relative to the broader market is quantified by a beta of 1.27, which means the stock's price is expected to be 27% more volatile than the general market index, exposing investors to higher systematic risk during periods of market fluctuation.

Growth & Income

Growth dynamics are characterized by a revenue growth rate of 8.6% year-over-year contrasted with an earnings growth rate of -1.1% year-over-year, indicating that earnings are currently contracting faster than revenue, which implies a temporary compression in margins or increased operational costs. As a dividend payer, the company distributes a yield of 1.4% to shareholders with a payout ratio of 17.3%, a figure that suggests the dividend is highly sustainable given that it consumes a small fraction of the generated net income. This low payout ratio allows the firm to retain a majority of its earnings for potential future growth initiatives or to strengthen its balance sheet rather than distributing all profits immediately. In summary, the overall growth and income profile presents a scenario of stable revenue expansion and a highly conservative dividend policy, offering income support even as earnings face near-term headwinds.
