公司概述

U-Haul Holding Company operates as a primary do-it-yourself operator for moving and storage solutions, serving both household and commercial clients across the United States and Canada. The enterprise functions within the Industrials sector, specifically the Rental & Leasing Services industry, indicating its core reliance on asset utilization and service provision rather than manufacturing or software development. This massive scale is evidenced by a market capitalization of $9.53B, annual revenue reaching $6.00B, and an employee base of 17,901 individuals. These valuation and revenue figures suggest that the company commands a significant position in the logistics and rental landscape, reflecting substantial operational footprint and market penetration.

财务健康

The company reported revenue of $6.00B for the trailing twelve months, with a net income of $128.62M and EBITDA of $774.02M. The substantial disparity between the $6.00B revenue and the $128.62M net income reveals a highly leveraged cost structure where operating expenses, likely including massive depreciation on the truck and trailer fleet, consume the majority of gross profits. Free cash flow stands at $-2,193,944,832, which indicates that the business model currently generates negative cash flow from operations relative to capital expenditures, implying limited immediate financial flexibility for organic reinvestment without external financing. The gross margin is 28.6%, while the operating margin is 2.5% and the profit margin is 2.1%; these figures indicate that while the company retains a reasonable portion of sales as gross profit, operating costs and taxes erode earnings significantly before reaching the bottom line. Total cash holdings of $1.03B are outweighed by total debt of $8.06B, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 104.07, which characterizes the balance sheet as highly leveraged rather than conservative. The current ratio is 1.18, suggesting that the company maintains just enough liquid assets to cover short-term liabilities, indicating a tight but manageable liquidity position for immediate obligations. Return on equity is 1.7% and return on assets is 1.4%, metrics that reveal management effectiveness is currently low, as the firm generates minimal returns on the substantial capital employed in its asset-heavy business model.

估值评估

The trailing P/E ratio is 106.77, while the forward P/E is 11.15; this stark difference implies that the market expects a dramatic turnaround in earnings trajectory, as the current valuation price assumes future profitability will normalize significantly lower multiples. The price-to-book ratio is 1.25, indicating that the market values the company at a modest premium over its tangible book value, suggesting investors are not paying a high multiple for intangible assets given the industry context. The price-to-sales ratio is 1.59 and the EV/EBITDA is 21.59; these alternative valuation metrics suggest the stock is priced based on sales volume and enterprise earnings power rather than current profitability, reflecting the high reinvestment needs typical of the rental service sector. The 52-week high is $67.64 and the 52-week low is $41.95, meaning the current price sits at a level that requires calculation relative to this range to determine its position within the recent trading band. The beta value is 1.11, which means the stock exhibits price volatility that is slightly higher than the broader market, indicating greater sensitivity to overall market fluctuations compared to a benchmark index.

Growth & Income

Revenue growth year-over-year is 1.9%, while earnings growth is marked as N/A; the absence of reported earnings growth data prevents a direct comparison but implies that profitability expansion has not yet tracked with revenue expansion in the most recent period. The company does not pay dividends, evidenced by a dividend yield of N/A and a payout ratio of 0.0%, which indicates that the firm retains all of its earnings rather than distributing them to shareholders. Consequently, the company reinvests its earnings into growth initiatives such as fleet expansion or facility improvements rather than paying dividends to provide income to investors. The overall growth and income profile is characterized by modest top-line expansion without dividend support, relying entirely on potential future earnings normalization to drive shareholder value appreciation.
