公司概述
Theriva Biologics, Inc. operates as a clinical-stage biotechnology enterprise dedicated to developing therapeutics designed to treat cancer and related diseases within areas of high unmet medical need in the United States. The company functions specifically within the healthcare sector and the biotechnology industry, positioning itself as an early-phase innovator focused on advancing oncology treatments through specialized research and development. Currently, the firm employs a workforce of 15 individuals, reflecting the typical lean operational structure of a pre-commercial biotech entity. With a market capitalization of $13.63 million and reported annual revenue data marked as unavailable, the company's valuation indicates a micro-cap status that places it in a highly speculative segment of the market. This limited market cap and lack of reported revenue revenue figures suggest that the company is still in the investment phase, where value is derived primarily from intellectual property and clinical trial potential rather than established commercial earnings or cash generation.
财务健康
The financial statements for Theriva Biologics, Inc. reveal a net income of $-25,249,000 over the trailing twelve months, while EBITDA stands at $-14,912,000, indicating significant operational losses. The revenue for the trailing twelve months is listed as unavailable, yet the substantial negative net income relative to the zero revenue figure highlights a cost structure entirely driven by research and development expenditures rather than sales-based costs. The free cash flow is reported at $-5,976,500, which signifies that the company is consuming cash reserves to fund its clinical programs and operational overhead. Regarding profitability metrics, the gross margin, operating margin, and profit margin are all recorded at 0.0%, a common characteristic for clinical-stage companies that have not yet generated commercial sales. On the balance sheet, the company holds $13.06 million in cash against $2.63 million in debt, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 17.09, which suggests a highly leveraged profile relative to its equity base despite the low absolute debt amount. The current ratio stands at 1.74, indicating that the company possesses sufficient current assets to cover its short-term liabilities with a comfortable margin of safety. Return on Equity is -137.8% and Return on Assets is -25.5%, metrics that mathematically reflect the dilution of shareholder value and asset efficiency during the heavy investment phase of the company's lifecycle.
估值评估
Valuation multiples for Theriva Biologics, Inc. present a complex picture typical of pre-revenue biotech firms, with the P/E Ratio (TTM) listed as unavailable and the Forward P/E showing a negative value of -1.48. The distinction between the unavailable trailing P/E and the negative forward P/E implies that the market is pricing in future earnings potential that has not yet materialized, as current earnings are negative. The price-to-book ratio is 0.69, suggesting that the market values the company at a discount to its book value, which may reflect the high risk associated with the clinical-stage nature of its product pipeline. Alternative valuation metrics include a price-to-sales ratio marked as unavailable and an EV/EBITDA of -0.21, both of which underscore the absence of positive earnings or sales to serve as a traditional valuation anchor. The stock has traded between a 52-week high of $1.50 and a 52-week low of $0.16, providing a context for the current price volatility within a wide trading range. The beta value is 0.47, indicating that the stock's price volatility is significantly lower than the broader market, a trait often seen in small-cap biotechnology stocks that are less sensitive to general market movements.
Growth & Income
Growth metrics for Theriva Biologics, Inc. show revenue growth year-over-year as unavailable and earnings growth year-over-year as unavailable, precluding any analysis of historical growth trajectories or comparisons between revenue and earnings expansion rates. As a non-dividend payer, the company reports a dividend yield of N/A and a payout ratio of 0.0%, which is consistent with firms that reinvest all available capital and earnings back into research and development to advance their clinical programs. The absence of dividend payments and the lack of historical growth data indicate that the company's strategy prioritizes long-term asset building through clinical trials over immediate shareholder returns. The overall growth and income profile is characterized by a complete reliance on future clinical success rather than current financial performance or income distribution mechanisms.
