公司概述
REV Group, Inc. operates as a comprehensive designer, manufacturer, and distributor of specialty vehicles, alongside related aftermarket parts and services, serving markets across North America and internationally. The company functions within the Industrials sector, specifically targeting the Farm & Heavy Construction Machinery industry, a domain characterized by the production of specialized equipment for agriculture and construction applications. Its operational scale is defined by a market capitalization of $3.12B, annual revenue of $2.46B, and an employee base of 5,500 individuals. These valuation and revenue figures position REV Group as a mid-to-large-cap entity within its niche, suggesting a substantial installed base of machinery and a significant footprint in the specialized vehicle distribution landscape.
财务健康
The company reported total revenue of $2.46B over the trailing twelve months, generating net income of $95.20M and EBITDA of $208.20M, revealing a cost structure where operating expenses and taxes consume approximately 61% of gross earnings before arriving at the bottom line. Free cash flow stands at $172.79M, indicating that the company generates sufficient cash after capital expenditures to fund operations, pay down debt, or potentially return capital, thereby providing a buffer for financial flexibility. The margin profile shows a gross margin of 15.0%, an operating margin of 7.1%, and a profit margin of 3.9%, where the substantial gap between gross and operating margins highlights significant overhead costs relative to the revenue generated. Regarding liquidity and leverage, the company holds $34.70M in cash against $61.20M in total debt, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 14.70 which indicates a leveraged balance sheet where debt obligations exceed cash reserves. Short-term liquidity is supported by a current ratio of 1.51, suggesting that current assets are more than 1.5 times current liabilities, offering a comfortable margin for meeting short-term obligations. Finally, the return metrics of 22.4% for Return on Equity and 9.4% for Return on Assets demonstrate that management is effectively utilizing shareholder capital and total assets to generate profits, with equity being particularly efficient at producing returns.
估值评估
Valuation multiples show a trailing P/E ratio of 33.81 compared to a forward P/E of 14.06, implying that the market currently prices in a significant expected improvement in future earnings relative to historical performance. The price-to-book ratio is 7.49, indicating that the market values the company at a substantial premium of 649% over its net asset book value, often reflecting intangible assets or growth expectations not captured on the balance sheet. Alternative metrics such as a price-to-sales ratio of 1.27 and an EV/EBITDA of 15.11 provide context that the stock trades at a premium relative to its sales and earnings power before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization. The stock has traded between a 52-week low of $26.51 and a high of $69.92, and without the current specific share price, the valuation range defines the recent volatility bounds within which the asset has operated. With a beta of 1.10, the stock exhibits volatility slightly higher than the broader market, meaning price movements are expected to amplify market swings by approximately 10% in terms of systemic risk exposure.
Growth & Income
Recent performance data indicates revenue growth of 11.1% year-over-year contrasted with earnings growth of -27.3% year-over-year, suggesting that while top-line sales are expanding, profitability is currently under pressure, possibly due to margin compression or one-time costs impacting the bottom line faster than revenue increases. As a dividend payer, the company offers a yield of 0.4% with a payout ratio of 12.7%, a low ratio that suggests the dividend is highly sustainable even if earnings fluctuate, as only a small fraction of net income is required to fund the payout. The low payout ratio allows the company to retain the majority of its earnings for reinvestment into manufacturing capabilities or expansion rather than distributing them to shareholders. Overall, the asset presents a profile of strong top-line expansion coupled with a conservative dividend policy designed to protect shareholder capital amidst current earnings headwinds.
