公司概述

Clarus Corporation is a specialized entity focused on the design, development, manufacture, and distribution of outdoor equipment and lifestyle products, serving markets across the United States, Australia, China, Austria, and internationally. The company operates within the Consumer Cyclical sector and specifically within the Leisure industry, positioning it as a beneficiary of discretionary spending trends related to outdoor recreation and adventure activities. In terms of scale, Clarus Corporation holds a market capitalization of $105.99M and reported annual revenue of $250.44M, employing a workforce of 390 individuals. These valuation and revenue figures indicate that the company maintains a mid-cap profile with a revenue base sufficient to support significant operational activities, though the relatively modest market cap suggests it may be less widely held by institutional investors compared to large-cap peers in the leisure goods sector.

财务健康

The company reported total revenue of $250.44M for the trailing twelve months, yet generated a net income of -$46,556,000 and an EBITDA of -$9,696,000, revealing a substantial gap between top-line growth and bottom-line profitability driven by high operating expenses or non-operating costs. Despite the negative net income and EBITDA, Clarus Corporation generated free cash flow of $3.79M, which provides a degree of financial flexibility by allowing the company to fund operations or reduce debt without immediate reliance on external equity financing. The gross margin stands at 33.2%, indicating a moderate ability to retain revenue after direct production costs, while the operating margin of -11.1% and profit margin of -18.6% highlight significant inefficiencies or structural costs that are eroding profitability at the operational and net levels. On the balance sheet, the company holds $36.69M in cash against $12.29M in debt, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 6.26, which suggests a highly leveraged capital structure where equity financing plays a more dominant role than debt in the capital mix. The current ratio is 4.23, signaling robust short-term liquidity as the company possesses ample current assets to cover its short-term liabilities, providing a safety buffer against immediate liquidity crunches. Furthermore, the return on equity is -21.7% and the return on assets is -5.1%, metrics that indicate management is currently generating negative returns on the capital invested, suggesting a need for strategic adjustments to improve operational efficiency and capital allocation.

估值评估

Clarus Corporation has a trailing P/E ratio of N/A due to negative earnings, while the forward P/E is listed at 11.27, implying that the market anticipates a significant earnings turnaround or positive earnings trajectory in the upcoming fiscal periods to justify the current valuation multiple. The price-to-book ratio is 0.54, indicating that the market values the company at roughly half of its book value, which often suggests a deep discount or that investors perceive substantial risks regarding the quality of the company's assets. As an alternative valuation metric, the price-to-sales ratio is 0.42 and the EV/EBITDA is -8.41; these figures suggest the company is priced on a revenue basis rather than earnings, reflecting the market's caution regarding current profitability while potentially pricing in future recovery scenarios. Regarding trading range, the stock's 52-week high was $4.03 and the low was $2.59; without a specific current price provided in the facts, the valuation context relies on these bounds to define the volatility envelope within which the stock has traded over the past year. The beta of 1.15 indicates that the stock's price volatility is higher than the broader market, meaning the company is expected to amplify market movements with greater upward or downward swings than the general index.

Growth & Income

For the trailing twelve months, revenue growth year-over-year declined by 8.4%, while earnings growth is marked as N/A due to the negative net income position, implying that the company is currently contracting in terms of top-line sales and struggling to generate positive earnings expansion. The company offers a dividend yield of 3.6% with a payout ratio of 14.7%; however, the sustainability of this dividend is questionable given the negative net income, as paying a dividend while reporting a net loss of -$46,556,000 typically relies on cash reserves or debt rather than current profitability. Since the company is reporting a net loss, it technically does not pay dividends from current earnings, and the existing dividend yield reflects payments funded by cash on hand rather than distributable earnings, highlighting a potential risk to future dividend continuity. Overall, Clarus Corporation presents a growth and income profile characterized by revenue contraction, negative earnings growth, and a dividend yield that may be underpinned by financial constraints rather than sustainable earnings power.
