The company functions within the Industrials sector and the Engineering & Construction industry, roles that involve delivering critical infrastructure solutions for energy facilities. Argan, Inc. currently holds a market capitalization of $8.50B and generates annual revenue of $944.61M while employing 1409 individuals. These valuation and revenue figures indicate that the company occupies a substantial position in the power generation services landscape, reflecting a large-scale operational footprint and significant market presence relative to smaller regional contractors.
财务健康
The company reports a trailing twelve-month revenue of $944.61M with a corresponding net income of $137.77M and EBITDA of $136.99M, where the gap between revenue and net income reveals a cost structure that retains approximately 14.6% of top-line sales as profit after all expenses. Argan, Inc. demonstrates robust financial flexibility with a free cash flow generation of $340.95M, which significantly exceeds its net income, suggesting strong operational efficiency in converting earnings into liquid cash reserves. The company maintains a gross margin of 20.3%, an operating margin of 18.2%, and a profit margin of 14.6%, indicating that after controlling for the cost of goods sold and operational overhead, the business retains a healthy portion of revenue as bottom-line profit. On the balance sheet, total cash holdings of $894.98M vastly outweigh total debt of $6.39M, supported by a debt-to-equity ratio of 1.38, which characterizes the capital structure as highly conservative with minimal leverage risk. Liquidity is further supported by a current ratio of 1.59, indicating that current assets are sufficient to cover short-term liabilities with a comfortable safety margin. Management effectiveness is highlighted by a return on equity of 33.8% and a return on assets of 8.3%, metrics that suggest the company generates substantial returns on shareholder capital relative to its asset base.
估值评估
Valuation metrics for Argan, Inc. show a trailing P/E ratio of 62.49 and a forward P/E of 40.84, where the significant difference between these two figures implies that the market expects a substantial increase in earnings trajectory over the coming year to justify the current high multiple. The price-to-book ratio stands at 18.39, indicating that the market values the company at a significant premium over its tangible book value, reflecting high expectations for future growth or intangible asset value not captured on the balance sheet. Alternative valuation measures include a price-to-sales ratio of 9.00 and an EV/EBITDA of 55.54, which suggest that investors are pricing the stock based on future scalability rather than current asset heaviness. Regarding price volatility, the stock has traded within a 52-week range between $124.32 and $52-Week High: $615.68, meaning the current price sits at a level that requires calculation relative to this specific historical band to determine discount or premium status. The beta value is 0.46, which indicates that the stock price exhibits low volatility relative to the broader market, moving with significantly less intensity than the S&P 500 during periods of market fluctuation.
Growth & Income
Argan, Inc. exhibits a revenue growth rate of 12.7% year-over-year alongside an earnings growth rate of 55.8% year-over-year, demonstrating that earnings are expanding at a pace more than four times faster than revenue, which implies substantial operating leverage and efficiency improvements. As a company with a dividend yield of 0.3% and a payout ratio of 18.0%, the dividend policy is highly sustainable given the strong earnings generation, allowing the firm to retain the majority of profits for reinvestment. The low payout ratio of 18.0% suggests that while the company does distribute a portion of earnings to shareholders, it prioritizes retaining capital for business expansion and operational enhancement over maximizing immediate income distribution. Overall, the growth and income profile is defined by rapid earnings acceleration supported by a conservative debt structure and a dividend policy that offers modest but reliable income while preserving capital for future growth initiatives.
