회사 개요
Accuray Incorporated is a specialized manufacturer focused on the design, development, manufacture, and sale of radiosurgery and radiation therapy systems utilized for tumor treatment across a global footprint that includes the United States, Canada, Latin America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East, India, Africa, Japan, and China. The company operates within the Healthcare sector, specifically within the Medical Devices industry, positioning it as a critical supplier of high-precision equipment essential for oncology procedures. With a market capitalization of $50.01M, an annual revenue of $436.97M, and an employee count of 990, Accuray presents a profile of a mid-sized enterprise with significant operational reach despite a modest valuation. The relatively low market cap in conjunction with substantial annual revenue suggests the company may be undervalued relative to its revenue generation or is currently facing significant market headwinds that have suppressed its stock price below its intrinsic value derived from operations.
재무 건전성
Accuray Incorporated reported a trailing twelve-month revenue of $436.97M, yet the company recorded a net income loss of $-35,622,000 and an EBITDA of $-1,700,000, highlighting a substantial gap between top-line sales and bottom-line profitability that indicates heavy operational costs or significant one-time charges. The company generated a free cash flow of $-803,500, which implies a lack of immediate financial flexibility to fund capital expenditures or acquisitions without external capital injections or debt restructuring. Profitability metrics are further constrained by a gross margin of 27.8%, an operating margin of -5.4%, and a profit margin of -8.2%, where the negative operating and profit margins reveal that operating expenses and selling costs are eroding more than the gross profit generated from device sales. On the balance sheet, Accuray holds $41.30M in cash against $174.23M in total debt, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 326.14, which characterizes a highly leveraged financial structure rather than a conservative one. Despite the high leverage, the current ratio stands at 1.47, indicating that the company possesses sufficient current assets relative to current liabilities to meet short-term obligations without immediate distress. Return metrics reflect the financial strain, with a return on equity of -70.3% and a return on assets of -1.2%, demonstrating that management has been ineffective at generating returns for shareholders or utilizing asset bases to create value in the current fiscal period.
밸류에이션 평가
The valuation metrics for Accuray show a trailing P/E ratio that is effectively negative given the net losses, while the forward P/E is listed at -14.03, suggesting that the market is pricing in continued earnings challenges rather than a near-term turnaround. The price-to-book ratio of 0.94 indicates that the stock is trading at a slight discount to its book value, which can occur when a market perceives high risk or when assets are not being utilized efficiently to generate earnings. Alternative valuation measures such as the price-to-sales ratio of 0.11 and an EV/EBITDA of -107.61 further underscore the disconnect between the company's current market price and its revenue or earnings potential, often seen in distressed healthcare equipment firms. Price action has been volatile, with a 52-week high of $2.10 and a 52-week low of $0.33, meaning the current share price sits significantly below the annual peak, reflecting investor caution regarding the company's financial trajectory. The stock exhibits a beta of 1.32, which signifies that the stock price is approximately 32% more volatile than the broader market, amplifying both potential gains and losses for traders holding this position.
Growth & Income
Revenue growth for the trailing twelve-month period stands at -12.0%, while earnings growth is marked as N/A due to the reported net loss, implying that the company is currently contracting in terms of top-line sales rather than expanding its market share. Since the company does not pay dividends, evidenced by a dividend yield of N/A and a payout ratio of 0.0%, Accuray reinvests its earnings—or rather, relies on external financing—into growth initiatives rather than returning capital to shareholders through dividend payments. The overall growth and income profile is characterized by revenue contraction and a complete absence of income distribution, signaling a period of strategic transformation or market correction rather than organic expansion. This combination of negative revenue growth and zero dividend yield presents a challenging environment for income-focused investors but may offer speculative opportunities for those betting on a future operational turnaround.
