公司概述
Ranger Energy Services, Inc. operates within the energy sector, specifically serving the oil and gas equipment and services industry in the United States. The company specializes in providing onshore high specification well service rigs, wireline services, and complementary processing solutions to exploration and production firms. With a total market capitalization of $396.82M and annual revenue of $546.90M, the entity manages a workforce of 2,300 employees. These financial figures indicate a mid-cap position within the specialized services niche, where revenue generation is driven by contract-based service delivery rather than resource ownership. The scale of operations, reflected in the $546.90M TTM revenue, suggests the company maintains a significant footprint in the domestic drilling infrastructure market, while the $396.82M market cap reflects investor valuation relative to its current earnings performance.
财务健康
The company reported a trailing twelve-month revenue of $546.90M, generating net income of $12.30M and an EBITDA of $60.70M. The substantial gap between the $546.90M revenue and the $12.30M net income reveals a cost structure with significant operating expenses, resulting in a thin profit margin relative to top-line sales. Free cash flow stands at $24.95M, which provides the company with a degree of financial flexibility to fund capital expenditures or service its debt obligations without relying solely on external financing. Gross margin is recorded at 16.5%, indicating that pricing power covers direct costs but leaves limited room before overheads erode profitability. Operating margin sits at 1.7% and profit margin at 2.2%, levels that suggest the business model is highly sensitive to operational efficiency and volume fluctuations. Total cash on hand is $10.30M compared to total debt of $41.90M, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 13.96, which characterizes the balance sheet as highly leveraged. The current ratio of 1.75 indicates that the company holds sufficient current assets to cover its short-term liabilities with a buffer of 1.75 times. Return on equity is 4.3% and return on assets is 2.2%, metrics that reveal management effectiveness is currently constrained by the high leverage and low net income relative to the asset base.
估值评估
The trailing twelve-month P/E ratio is 31.20, while the forward P/E is 12.77, implying a significant divergence where the market expects earnings to improve dramatically in the future relative to current performance. The price-to-book ratio of 1.32 indicates that the market values the company at a 32% premium over its book value, reflecting intangible assets or growth expectations despite current earnings weakness. Price-to-sales ratio is 0.73 and EV/EBITDA is 7.06, suggesting that on a revenue basis the company trades at a discount, while the enterprise value metric adjusts for debt and cash to show a multiple that is moderate for the industry. The 52-week high is $17.98 and the 52-week low is $10.56, placing the current trading price within a range that has experienced considerable volatility over the past year. The beta value of 0.17 indicates that the stock price exhibits very low volatility relative to the broader market, moving with significantly less sensitivity to general market fluctuations.
Growth & Income
Revenue growth year-over-year is -0.6% and earnings growth year-over-year is -46.5%, indicating that earnings are contracting at a rate far faster than revenue, which implies severe cost pressures or a sharp decline in profitability per unit of service. The company pays a dividend with a yield of 1.4% and a payout ratio of 44.4%, suggesting the dividend is funded from cash flow rather than being unsustainable relative to the declining net income. The high payout ratio combined with negative earnings growth creates a tension where the dividend must be supported by free cash flow rather than retained earnings. Overall, the growth and income profile presents a scenario of declining earnings growth alongside a modest but existing income stream, requiring close monitoring of operational turnaround to ensure dividend sustainability.
