公司概述
Global Partners LP is a major player in the energy sector, specifically operating within the oil and gas midstream industry, where it provides essential infrastructure for the transportation and storage of hydrocarbons. The company engages in the comprehensive purchasing, selling, gathering, blending, storing, and logistics of transporting gasoline, gasoline blendstocks, distillates, residual oil, renewable fuels, crude oil, and propane to wholesalers, retailers, and commercial customers. With a total market capitalization of $1.56 billion and annual trailing twelve-month revenue of $18.56 billion, the firm demonstrates significant scale supported by a workforce of 3,265 employees. These financial figures indicate that Global Partners LP commands a substantial position in the midstream market, generating revenue in the tens of billions while maintaining a valuation that reflects its critical role in the fuel supply chain. The combination of high revenue volume and a robust employee base underscores the company's extensive operational footprint and its importance to the broader energy logistics network.
财务健康
The company reported trailing twelve-month revenue of $18.56 billion, with corresponding net income of $72.09 million and EBITDA of $374.15 million, highlighting a distinct gap between top-line generation and bottom-line profitability. This disparity reveals a cost structure characterized by high operating expenses relative to revenue, resulting in a thin profit margin where a significant portion of revenue is consumed by costs before reaching the net income figure. Free cash flow stands at $177.40 million, which provides the company with a baseline of liquidity to fund operations and capital expenditures, though the magnitude relative to debt suggests constraints on aggressive expansion without refinancing or equity issuance. Profitability metrics are further defined by a gross margin of 6.0%, an operating margin of 1.2%, and a profit margin of 0.4%, indicating that the business model relies on high volume rather than high per-unit pricing power to generate earnings. Regarding balance sheet leverage, the company holds $12.24 million in cash against total debt of $2.08 billion, resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of 307.31% which signifies a highly leveraged capital structure rather than a conservative one. Short-term liquidity is measured by a current ratio of 1.14, suggesting that current assets slightly exceed current liabilities but leaving little room for error in meeting immediate obligations. Return on equity is calculated at 14.1% while return on assets is 3.8%, revealing that management is effective at generating returns on shareholder equity but that the heavy asset base and debt load dampen overall asset efficiency.
估值评估
Valuation multiples for Global Partners LP show a trailing P/E ratio of 21.84 compared to a forward P/E of 18.36, implying that the market expects earnings growth that would justify a lower multiple in the future. The price-to-book ratio is 2.59, indicating that the stock trades at a premium of roughly 159% over its book value, which reflects investor confidence in the intangible assets and future cash flows of the midstream operations. Alternative valuation metrics provide further context, with a price-to-sales ratio of 0.08 and an EV/EBITDA of 9.88, suggesting that the market values the company based on a very small fraction of its sales due to the low profitability inherent in the midstream sector. Price action over the last year has seen the stock trade between a 52-week low of $39.58 and a 52-week high of $56.51, placing the current trading range within a band that reflects significant volatility. The beta value of 1.04 indicates that the stock's price volatility moves in tandem with the broader market, exhibiting slightly higher sensitivity to market swings than the average equity.
Growth & Income
Revenue growth for the trailing twelve months stands at 11.0%, while earnings growth is recorded at 5.0%, demonstrating that earnings are expanding at a slower pace than revenue, which typically points to rising cost bases or margin compression. As a dividend payer, the company offers a dividend yield of 6.6%, supported by a payout ratio of 141.7%, which suggests that the current dividend distribution exceeds current net income and relies on cash flow or reserves to be maintained. Given the payout ratio exceeding 100%, the sustainability of the dividend depends on the stability of free cash flow rather than earnings alone, presenting a risk if operational cash generation falters. Overall, the company presents a profile of steady revenue expansion in a critical infrastructure sector, albeit with constrained earnings growth and a dividend yield that requires careful monitoring of cash flow sufficiency relative to the high payout obligation.
