Visão geral da empresa

A pharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of novel drugs directed against nuclear export mechanisms for treating cancer and other diseases in the United States. This enterprise operates within the Healthcare sector, specifically inside the Biotechnology industry, which implies a focus on research-intensive product pipelines and regulatory approval processes. The entity employs a workforce of 228 individuals and maintains a total market capitalization of $183.95M alongside an annual revenue of $146.07M. These valuation figures indicate that the company is a small-cap biotechnology firm, suggesting it is in a commercial-stage phase where the primary objective is often to scale revenue generation rather than immediate profitability, placing it in a distinct position relative to large-cap peers with diversified portfolios.

Saúde financeira

The company reported a trailing twelve-month revenue of $146.07M, yet it posted a net income of $-196,039,008 and an EBITDA of $-90,411,000. The substantial gap between the positive revenue and the negative net income reveals a highly leveraged cost structure where operating expenses and research costs significantly exceed gross profits. Free cash flow stands at $-49,426,500, indicating that the company is currently burning cash, which limits its financial flexibility and reliance on external financing or existing cash reserves. The gross margin is 9.9%, while the operating margin is -52.4% and the profit margin is -134.2%; these figures collectively indicate that the company is not yet achieving operational efficiency and is absorbing costs at a rate that erodes nearly all of its top-line sales. On the balance sheet, total cash holdings of $63.74M are outweighed by total debt of $305.94M, and the debt-to-equity ratio is listed as N/A, which suggests a highly leveraged position where equity is negligible or negative. The current ratio is 1.12, indicating that the company possesses just enough current assets to cover its current liabilities, highlighting a tight margin for short-term liquidity. Return on Equity is N/A due to the capital structure, and Return on Assets is -41.6%, which reveals that management is currently generating negative returns on the total asset base.

Avaliação de valorização

The P/E Ratio (TTM) is N/A because the company is unprofitable, while the forward P/E is -1.87, a metric that typically implies negative expected earnings trajectory or significant future cost adjustments. The price-to-book ratio is -0.51, indicating that the market values the company at a discount to its book value, often reflecting the high risk associated with unproven biotechnology assets. The price-to-sales ratio is 1.26 and the EV/EBITDA is -4.33; these alternative valuation metrics suggest that investors are pricing the stock based on revenue multiples rather than earnings power, a common approach for pre-revenue or loss-making biotech firms. The 52-week high is $10.99 and the 52-week low is $3.65, meaning the current price sits at a level that requires calculation relative to this range to determine the percentage below the high or above the low. The beta value is 0.40, which explains that the stock's price volatility is significantly lower than that of the broader market, behaving more like a defensive asset despite the high-risk nature of the biotechnology sector.

Growth & Income

The revenue growth year-over-year is 11.6%, whereas earnings growth is N/A due to the company's current losses. Since earnings are not growing faster than revenue (as earnings are negative), this implies that top-line expansion is occurring without a corresponding increase in profitability, a typical pattern for companies scaling up clinical trials or market penetration. Regarding income, the dividend yield is N/A and the payout ratio is 0.0%, indicating that the company does not distribute dividends to shareholders. This absence of dividends means the company reinvests all available earnings, or rather its entire cash flow, back into research and development to fuel future growth rather than providing current income. The overall growth and income profile is characterized by positive revenue expansion coupled with significant cash consumption and a complete lack of dividend distribution, reflecting a classic growth-at-all-costs strategy common in the early commercial stages of pharmaceutical development.
